No Stone Unturned

Some truths refuse to stay buried… no matter how deep

By Waleed khanPublished 2 days ago 1 min read

The village had been silent since the day Ayaan disappeared.

No clues, no witnesses—just a broken bicycle near the river.

People whispered, then forgot, as years slowly passed.

But his sister, Meera, never stopped searching.

“I’ll leave no stone unturned,” she promised.

Everyone said it was useless—he was gone.

Still, she returned to the river every single day.

One evening, she noticed something strange beneath the water.

A pile of stones… arranged too perfectly to be natural.

Her heart raced as she stepped into the cold current.

One by one, she began removing the stones.

The villagers watched from afar, uneasy and silent.

Beneath the last stone, she found a rusted metal box.

Inside it were old photographs—and a small, muddy shoe.

It was Ayaan’s.

The crowd gasped, but Meera didn’t stop there.

“This isn’t the end,” she whispered.

The next morning, she returned—with tools.

By nightfall, the truth surfaced… buried just below.

And the village would never be silent again.
