Meanwhile, On Planet Knucklehead

Wednesday morning thoughts that remind me why some things aren't what they should be.

Beyond the recent round of rhetoric out of the big O, there are other reason's to be upset by that thing running the circus. And yes, that includes me. Sure, I might not be upset for the same reasons you are. There's a reason for that. I'm not going to get into it, but I choose to look at it in a way that is more open than your typical, angry, unruly, and dense voter.

It's sort of like, in 2024, when they finally clamped down on the border. For all of 21, 22, and 23, there was an open border, do not enforce, order in this country. It was similar to the one present during the years 09 to early 17. But, in 24, there was a change and I applauded it. Most of the people in this falling apart, divided, and tattered example of what could have been, struggle to see when the neighbors clock is right.

The neighbors clock, no matter how much you disagree with them on things, is right at least twice a day. If it runs slow, it might make it to three times a day. That's the truth of it.

And don't get me wrong. That recent round of rhetoric out of the big blooming orange peel in that nice leather chair was obvious. But it was obviously never going to go the way it sounded. And it did sound like it was headed toward a very troubled position.

They're going to, "Feel the heat," or, get blown "into the stone age." Those words were going to get the response they got from the press, and hundreds of thousands, even millions of people, were sent shrieking into their living rooms. In fact, tons of people may have been hiding beneath their blankets, like little kids in the bedrooms, hiding with their "woobies."

And, yet, we are all here today and the world's not on the brink of Nuclear Annihilation. Yeah, the festering cesspool that is the plague on this world get's to go on for another day. It might be a good thing. Some might not be so sure.

And that's not what I'm upset about.

What's Important Was Missed

While the ding Don in charge keeps showing us how strong he is, and likely overcompesating for something we all heard about being a little short, during one of his many trials before the courts, the most important thing in the world right now was downplayed. And that's something that I've been saying since my nerddom days as a young sci-fi geek, and fan of shows and movies like Star Trek.

Right now, as we speak, the Artemis II crew is working its way back from circumventing the moon, passing by the dark side, and taking some stunning shots. Whether you're a fan of space travel, or see the point in exploration and discovery, or you're against the expenditures, it's a truly amazing feat.

This year, 2026, put humans one step closer to being in a place where we haven't been in over 50 years. Where is that?

When you think about the last 50 plus years, where have we been? We haven't been on the right roads to the future of humanity. We've made leaps and bounds in technology. We've made massive jumps in the science of replacing humanity in the workforce. And we've shown a consistent growth in our own ignorance, despite everything being at our fingertips.

After just coming out of a 20 year period of war and conflict, because religious extremists on one side of the planet hate everybody else on Earth, we're already back at it on multiple fronts.

And yet, there's the glimmer of hope in those brave souls hurdling themselves into the void of space. They took images from the other side of the moon, images showing how small we really are. It's a reminder of what's important in the universe, since we can't see it for ourselves, or what's most important in our world, for that matter.

So, happy humpday from Planet Knucklehead, where the biggest thing to happen in over 50 years, isn't humans taking a trip to the moon and back.
