Conner Floyd has a new job and a new bride

Congratulations are in order for Conner Floyd

After being off-screen for a while, The Young and the Restless actor Conner Floyd celebrates two milestones this Spring. He has a new job and a new bride. On March 21, He married his longtime girlfriend, Carly Frei, and will make his Days of Our Lives debut as Chad DiMera on April 21.

The couple first met on Valentine's Day in 2020 at The Den on Sunset Boulevard, in Los Angeles. They did not start dating until they ran into each other a year later, at a party. Floyd and Frei became engaged after he popped the question in her hometown of Boston on Dec. 21, 2024.

Hollywood themed wedding

According to PEOPLE, Floyd proposed to Carly on bended knee during the winter snow in Boston Commons. He presented Fei with a pear-cut diamond ring featuring a split gold band. The couple were married at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

There were 220 guests in attendance, including Y&R cast members. The wedding weekend exhibited an old Hollywood theme, beginning with a welcome party at the Sunset Tower hosted by the groom’s parents. There is no information available about Frei or her background.

From Chance to Chad

Floyd was last seen on The Young and the Restless as legacy character Phillip "Chance" Chancellor, who died. Fans complained that Chance was underutilized and seemed to have no purpose.

His wife, Abby (Melissa Ordway), cheated with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and the couple divorced. Y&R viewers also complained about Chance's detective skills because he was always slow to find clues when crimes were committed.

The writers did not seem to know what to do with the character whose adopted son, Dominic, has ties to every prominent Genoa City family. Floyd was on recurring status and rarely seen.

He can now shine as one of the Dimera family members, although he is not involved in the family business. Billy Flynn, who previously portrayed Chad, is now in the Y&R role of Cain Ashby, who has unleashed chaos in Genoa City.

Can Chad stay away from Cat?

Chad's mother was Madeline Peterson Woods (Jessica Tuck), a former call girl who became a judge and had an affair with Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascola). Jessica appeared in Salem in 2010 and died on-screen that same year, after falling while arguing with Chad

Before leaving Salem, Chad agreed in writing to have nothing more to do with Cat Greene ( AnnaLynne McCord), who is now fighting feelings for EJ Dimera (Dan Feuerriegel). How will Chad feel when he learns his former lover kissed his brother?

What's in store for Chad Dimera?

Cat is also secretly working for the ISA, so she is still hiding secrets. Some fans believe she and Chad will end up in each other's arms again despite the written agreement.

Spoiler alerts have not yet revealed what will be waiting for Chad when he is back in town. Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) just returned to Salem from Alamania and is hospitalized, so who is running Chad's paper, The Spectator?

Floyd's additional credits include Not a Fairy Tale, River of Ghosts, She Inherited Danger, Stole in her Sleep, and Malicious Motives. His followers are excited that he found another role so quickly and elated that he is married.
