A Love Story

Beneath the sky, as day turns gold,

The boy would watch the girl next door;

Her gentle smile, her laugh so sweet,

Made his heart skip a quiet beat.

Each morning passed with glances shy,

As sun would rise and birds would fly,

And in the breeze, he’d feel her near,

Her presence soft, so crystal clear.

She’d tend the flowers in her yard,

He’d pass by, his heart so full,

With longing, love, and quiet grace,

Drawn by the beauty of her face.

And though no words had yet been said,

Their hearts spoke true, with love ahead.

Their spirits soared, so pure, so free,

Two hearts entwined for all to see.

One day, with courage in his chest,

He spoke of love, and she confessed,

With eyes that shone, she softly said,

“I’ve waited here, where hearts are bound.”

And so they walked, hand clasped in hand,

Together, as they’d always planned,

The boy and girl, their love secure,

A timeless tale, forever pure.
