Comfort:

i find comfort in her many smiles

and all her tiny creases

whenever i am with her

i truly know what peace is

i find comfort as i watch

the rise and fall of her chest

this trust it needs no test

i find comfort in her passing touch

however fleeting it may be

a simple pillow fluffing

or an afternoon garden tea

i often find her comfort

when she comes seeking mine

we both draw and then cross the line

i find comfort in her soft words

they roll from her tongue with ease

we speak of everything and nothing

all at once or as we please

i find comfort in her love

our future is in her eyes

and i am stronger by her side
