Every Colour He Ever Was
Loving part of me and my life

Every Colour He Ever Was
He bursts into the room like a promise kept,
tail wagging hard enough to move the day.
Joy spills out in colours I cannot name,
painted straight from a heart that never doubted love.
Those eyes know nothing of conditions or endings,
only now, only you, only this moment.
He forgives before you know you need it,
and celebrates your return like a miracle.
Life may bruise and chip at the edges,
yet he remains gloriously untouched by bitterness.
Happiness lives openly in his open mouth smile,
tongue out, world forgiven, heart wide open.
If love had a shape it would look like this,
messy, bright, impossible to ignore.
Some souls arrive already knowing the secret,
that joy is an act of courage, not chance.

Truly wonderful celebration of joy. I can really feel the colour and love the artwork.
Phenomenally-written! So sweet! I 🩷 it! ☺️
Good job, the joy that a pet gives us in all ways is one to be cherished.
Love this so much, Marie! The last line is a killer.
