I love sitting out here
in the morning
with my thoughts and
a cup of strong coffee
I don't see the houses
they're building
as much as I see
the beauty of Creation
He gave us the unique
ability to see and perceive
beauty and wonder in it
this towering oak tree above me
is not a random organism
derived from a
single cell
bacteria
amino acid
but by design
to provide
shade
shelter
food
to the creatures created by design
the breeze is His design
what if Jesus
had backed out?
what if He had called the angels
to extract Him?
He didn't need any angels
to save Him but it would have
given the religious leaders a show
that they couldn't deny
and demonstrated His holiness
beyond doubt
but nope
He came in the flesh
to live among His Creation
and die to turn us from
sinners to saints
Jesus is in the first words
of the Bible and all throughout
God's physical presence
was for a purpose
to show us how to
live
pray
love
rest
discern
to conduct ourselves in faith
about being cognizant
through discernment
about setting boundaries-
something I've always struggled with
but I'm learning...
even Jesus spent time alone
away from the crowds
so as I sit out here
admiring everything
that's been created
I get to watch an Osprey
with outstretched wings
coasting on the wind
a caterpillar crawled across
my arm on his way to
wherever it is he's off to today
Find your place
to find
peace
quiet
reflection
answers
rest
Over two thousand years ago
the crowds cried
"Hosanna in the Highest!"
thinking He came
to rule over the lands
but He did something better
He came
to rule over our hearts
and if we
open our hearts
He will come
even now, today
He is with me
"Hosanna!"
Amen.
βTell the daughter of Zion, βBehold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.β β
So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: βHosanna to the Son of David! βBlessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!β Hosanna in the highest!ββ Matthewβ¬ β21β¬:β5β¬-β9β¬ βNKJVβ¬β¬
