How I Miss YoušŸ’”

You moved on,

Left me here,

In the echoes of yesterday,

With nothing but the weight of time.

I’m trapped,

Like a bird in a cage,

Wings aching for the open sky,

But the bars are too strong.

I see your face in passing crowds,

Feel your presence in the air.

But the space between us stretches wide,

A distance that isn’t fair.

How I miss you,

The way you were,

The laughter we shared,

The life we knew.

You’ve gone ahead,

To brighter days,

While I’m stuck beneath these heavy skies.

If I could reach out,

I’d ask you to stay.

To see me here, still waiting,

While you’re so far away.

But for now, I watch you slip,

Into a world where I don’t fit.

And though you’re near, you’re out of reach,

While I’m still here, trying to existšŸ’”

George’s Girl 2026

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ā¤ļø#Marie381UkWrites
