Red Sky at Night, Blue Sky at Dawn

Red sky at night, a whispered embrace,

The sun dips low in a fiery haze.

Clouds catch fire in a crimson glow,

A painter unseen with a brushstroke slow.

Winds grow soft as the stars ignite,

Silver threads in the cloak of night.

A promise lingers in embered light.

Tomorrow wakes with skies so bright.

Blue sky at dawn, a breath so new,

Shadows dissolve in a world washed true.

Gold spills softly on fields so wide,

Morning hums with a quiet pride.

Red fades to rest, blue rises tall,

Nature’s rhythm—eternal call.

Night whispers farewell, the dark is gone.

Red sky at night, blue sky at dawn.

Such a beautiful painting of words. Love the details in your description of the sky, I can see it so clearly. Great poem.

Almost a play on the Navy phrase, Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning, Red skies at night sailors' delight. I prefer morning.

  • Great work 👏
