The Edge of the Earth
I went there and see it in my darkest hours and lived

The Edge of the Earth
I walked until the road disappeared,
where the land ends in quiet despair,
the wind pulled my hair like fingers,
the sky bowed low, heavy and blue.
I pressed my hands into the dirt,
felt the pulse of everything unspoken,
and for a moment I touched the world’s end,
then turned back carrying its silence inside me.
Rocks crumbled under bare feet,
echoes of the unseen called my name,
the clouds seemed to lean closer,
their weight pressing truths I could not speak.
The horizon shimmered like a memory,
the ocean of sky and stone blended together,
I listened to the hum of nothingness,
and found myself standing, unafraid.
The edge does not belong to anyone,
yet I felt its weight against my chest,
the world stretched beyond comprehension,
and I returned with a piece of it in me.
I carried the horizon in my hands,
its silence pressing against my heart,
the world seemed smaller and larger at once,
and I walked on knowing it had changed me.

This is a poem of enlightenment of living our lives to the best of our abilities and at times we just need a time to think.
