A person's emotions are at their most stable only when they are loved or when they love no one at all. Loneliness is never sadness; rather, it is the freedom of being alone. It is not the misery of being ignored, but the blank space that life provides you.

Think about it carefully: when you don’t "like" anyone, you are actually at your happiest and most relaxed.

Although you may feel a little lonely, your time belongs entirely to yourself; you are completely free. Some say that the way to gain freedom is to eventually accept that no one loves you—I think this is a deeply romantic and liberating statement.

When you stop seeing "being loved" as your only salvation, you may discover that loneliness is not the end, but a journey of self-discovery. It doesn't guarantee happiness, but it brings freedom.
