The Spiral Staircase

Round and round beyond the sky

The Spiral Staircase

Spiral staircases twist and turn,

Round and round, two lovers dream.

Hands entwined in endless flight,

They ascend through soft moonlight.

Each step a beat, each curve a kiss,

Lost in a world of boundless bliss.

The journey neither ends nor starts,

As they climb together, heart to heart.

Just like life, full of twists and turns,

To see the top, an edge that burns.

But spiral staircases go on and on,

Till the past, present, and future are gone.

They spiral upward, beyond the skies,

Where time and space both fade and die.

Each step a question, each breath a sigh,

As the journey continues, till both lovers die.

Together spinning, till death they part,

Love has no end; it’s just a new start.
