When Hope Turns to Tears
Look for the sun, have courage, don’t give up

When Hope Turns to Tears
Hope glimmers softly in the night,
A fragile flame, a beacon bright.
But winds can howl and skies can break,
And shadows rise for hope to take.
The dreams we hold, the silent prayers,
Can crumble fast beneath despair.
What once felt close now drifts away,
A sun eclipsed by clouds of grey.
Tears fall where courage used to grow,
A whispered ache, a quiet woe.
Each droplet speaks of battles fought,
Of love desired, of lessons taught.
But tears, though bitter, cleanse the pain,
A healing stream, a soft refrain.
For from the sorrow hope can bloom,
Like flowers born of morning’s gloom.
So let the tears fall as they must,
Through grief, rebuild your sacred trust.
For though it fades, hope reappears,
Renewed in strength through broken tears.

Nothing wrong in shedding a few tears for it will make a person feel better physically and emotionally. Beautiful and good work.
Beautiful poem Marie. We all must needs cry sometimes in order to cleanse the soul. 🥲
A well-wrought and lovely sentiment!
