Agatha All Along
Agatha All Along has been getting better and better with every episode. Last week we got some great emotional moments from all of our witches and a vulnerable moment between Teen and Agatha. Even more than that we got gay confirmation from Agatha and Rio! The effects team and the cinematographer continue to produce absolutely incredible visuals. Agatha is the MCU’s lowest budget show and yet it is the most stunning to watch. Between the top tier visuals, the incredible storytelling and the unbelievable chemistry between the cast, Agatha is so far, the best thing that the MCU has ever produced.

Agatha All Along
We are headed down the witches road and the trials have begun. The first round of trials seemed to bring out the witches deepest fears. We got some very vague insight into each of them and I am hoping that this episode dives a little deeper into backstories and motivations. Episode 4 is titled If I can’t Reach You/Let My Song Teach You. Titling the episodes after lines of the song was a stroke of genius by the way. I love it. As always the fan theories have been floating around. Now that Sharron is dead the latest one that TikTok has come up with is that Rio and Sharron are one in the same and she’s been with the coven the whole time. I love this crazy theories. I think MCU fans are a little crazy and oftentimes their theories have no basis in reality but that is exactly why the weekly release format is so important. There is more time to feel connected to the show and get excited about it.

Transformers One
Okay so after having to sit through Rise of the Beast I was absolutely not looking forward to Transformers One. However I am very happy to say that I was 100% wrong. Transformers One was visually beautiful, emotionally compelling and narratively captivating. It joins the ranks of animated films this year that are personal Oscar contenders. Now I was watching this as a complete laymen, I know nothing of transformers lore. Luckily I went with my husband who does know the history. So this review comes from the viewpoint of a regular movie goer and a fan of the IP.

Agatha All Along
The first two episodes of Agatha All Along were a huge hit. The internet has been singing Down the Witches Road for a week now and it is safe to say that we are all obsessed with this phenomenal cast. The show has done an incredible job of setting up the individual stories as well as the big group dynamic. The pacing has been great and the show is a great time. We last left with the newly formed coven opening the door to the witches road and stepping inside. This was of course after Teen was freaked out by the Salem Seven. So here we go with the third episode of Agatha All Along.

Wiccan
Okay so we have a lot of characters in Agatha All Along so far. Some of them are extremely comic book accurate and others, not so much. And then we have some mystery. We have a young man who is yet to be named. Of course the popular fan theory is that he is Billy, Wanda’s son. Also known in the comics as Wiccan. Here’s the deal, if he’s not Wiccan I am going to be extremely upset. This is not the time for original thoughts. That said I have complete faith in Jac Shaeffer and I know that she knows what she is doing. So let’s talk about who the hell Wiccan is and why it is important that he be brought into the MCU at this point in time.

The Witches Road
The major plot for Agatha All Along seems to be about Agatha and her new coven traveling the witches road. Some fans were, rightfully, upset by this realization because this is one of Scarlet Witch’s major storylines from one of her few solo titles. Those of us that have been in the trenches of the internet for the last few years have heard things like, “Wanda can’t carry her own movie” and “there isn’t enough to her character for a whole trilogy”. Now both of these statements are blatantly wrong and show a distinct lack of comic book knowledge and common sense. But the idea that there is a lack of substance to her character is present in the fandom. So to take one of her major storylines and give it to Agatha is wildly insulting. That said, I have faith in Jac Shaeffer as she is the only one to handle my Wanda with care and respect. So what exactly is the witches road storyline and what parts of it will we actually see in the show?

Agatha Harkness
With Agatha All Along coming out and being a pretty stand alone show I think it is necessary to give some comic book context for the character. Though she played a fairly major role in WandaVision, not everyone has seen the show. And though it was fairly comic book accurate there is so much more to Agatha Harkness then we have seen. So as your local comic book historian I think it is important that we talk about her on the page counterpart as this show unfolds.

The Salem Seven
Agatha All Along has name dropped the Salem Seven and as your resident comic book expert I am here to answer all those burning comic book questions. I think context is really important for a lot of these Marvel shows. But more important than that, this is how I chronicle how comic book accurate these shows are. Not that they need to be, but the best MCU films and TV shows are truer to the source material. So whether or not you read or care about the comics it is in everyone's best interest if the creators care about them.

Agatha All Along
The first episode of Agatha All Along was undeniably captivating. The mystery, the pacing, the way that all the characters played off of each other was brilliantly crafted. Jac Shaeffer has proven that she knows these characters, and more than that, that she cares for them. She is in fact the only writer in the MCU that I trust with my favorite characters. I have quite a few predictions based off this first episode but they gave us the first two so let's get into it.

Agatha All Along
Agatha All Along released its first 2 episodes at once this week. The first people to review it sang its praises, save for a few butthurt internet fanboys who can’t stand the sight of women on their TV screens. I for one am very skeptical about the series if for no other reason then they are adapting The Witches Road which is a very prominent WANDA storyline. And as she is my favorite character, and has yet to have her own solo movie, it very much feels like a slap in the face to take one of her biggest comic book moments and give it to someone else. That said, the promise of a future Scarlet Witch project hangs in the air so I am excited to see how Agatha can help us get there.

The Acolyte
So far I think everyone that was shitting on this show is insane, or stupid, or both. The Acolyte is a well written show that seems to explore parts of the Star Wars universe that are underutilized. We are getting to see and talk about what the flaws in the Jedi order are. We are getting to see how revenge and trauma don’t always have to lead to the Dark side. Also how it isn’t always about Dark vs Light. I think this show is adding a lot more substance and nuance to the Star Wars canon then it had before.

The Acolyte
We are diving into The Acolyte. I really enjoyed the first episode, against the internet’s wishes. But really there were no glaring flaws in the writing. Granted that could always change, shows fall off as seasons continue all the time. Though I will say that is a lot less frequent when it comes to streaming because the seasons are shorter and therefore tend to be fully planned before shooting even starts. That’s not to say that every streaming show is a goldmine of perfect writing, but it really does minimize the plot and character mistakes that network shows tend to make because they last far longer than they should. So here we go with The Acolyte episode 2.
