Sushi with Zushi
I remember a time when there were no Japanese restaurants in my area other than YoSushi in Oxford. I also went to Birmingham to go to the many awesome Japanese restaurants there. Times have changed and now that anime is a lot more mainstream than it was when I was younger, Japanese culture has sneaked into Britain. Zushi is the only Japanese restaurant in Banbury, and I’ve been here so many times that they know my order well. I will take friends and family with me.

No Tea, No Sanity (Part 2)
One way or another, he’ll come back to me. He’s blocked me everywhere and he’s stealing my online presence from me. Christian and I are stronger together than apart. I miss the bickering and the plate smashing and the saucy make-up sex that came after it. We’ve had children too, not always together but we do love them. I love the attention I got from being pregnant, but I had no maternal instinct. I let my cousin adopt them in the end. I’ve not seen any of them since. Sounds harsh, but that’s the way it is. Violet wanted kids and couldn’t have any. Christian was too busy pumping iron with his customers to care about them. It all worked out in the end.

No Tea, No Sanity (Part 1)
They call me many things; an influencer, a model, a vixen, a diva, a beauty-queen and a bitch. Lavender Unicorn is what I choose to go by. My real last name is Knickers, but don’t you dare use it. Every-time they called my name out in school, I wanted to hang my head in shame. Bullies on the playground traumatised me for life. Back then, I didn’t want to be myself anymore. With the power of make-up, I could be whatever I wanted to be. I’ve been working on myself for years since I left high school. I don’t have the fancy degrees that society expects you to have, but I have a multi-million dollar company that I started in my bedroom. That’s gotta make up for it.

I Need Acceptance, Not Awareness
This month is autism awareness month where people light up blue hearts for awareness. As an autistic person myself, I feel we don’t need awareness, we need acceptance. I still see people on social media use the term autistic as a way to insult somebody. We get classed as aliens by society and many of the people I love who are on the spectrum themselves have experienced years of bullying and discrimination. What’s worse is that the big organisations that claim to help us are actually the ones doing the most damage.

A Ginger Biography
King of the Household Ginger will be celebrating his tenth birthday in human years next month. We’ve had him since he was born and even though our family don’t live together anymore, he is still very much loved. He has been a part of the family since the day he was born and turned my mum from a cat hater to a cat lady. He goes by many nicknames. My mum even calls him her “sexy boy” which makes me stepdad and aunts cringe like there’s no tomorrow. Other nicknames include Ginge, or Ginge-Minge which he responds to well.
