Teacher Moms
When we think about the teachers of the world of course the obvious things that come to mind are educators and craftspeople of the world’s future leaders and creators, but if we’re being perfectly honest, we can really call teachers secondary parents. When we send our children off to school while we go about our daily adult lives we are leaving them in the care of adults who are responsible for teaching them, feeding them, making sure they go to the restroom and even disciplining them when they are up to no good. So it is safe to say that the women who carry this responsibility are motherly teachers.

The Graduate
”Hello. I’ve waited here for you…everlong” - Foo Fighters (Everlong). In late January of 2016 I went to a job interview at the restaurant Bojangles which was about a five to seven minute drive from my house. I really needed this job because I was flat broke and had been out of school for six months due to problems with my financial aid. I lived with my dad and I was struggling so bad that I had to walk 45 minutes to this interview because I didn’t have a car. When I made it there the supervisor who was interviewing me asked me what were my life plans while working at Bojangles and I told him that my plans were to save up enough money to buy a car, get back in school, and graduate so that I could earned a degree. I successfully was hired. It took some doing, but after a short couple of years I finally earned my degree, this is my journey.

Classmate Moms. Top Story - May 2023.
When you’re a little kid in school many thoughts come to mind about your fellow classmates. You think so-and-so is your best friend, maybe your worst enemy. Maybe they’re very good on the blacktop playing basketball or they’re the fastest runner on the track during gym class. One thing you never think about until you get older is the fact that these classmates will one day grow up and become parents. Yes, one day your fellow toddlers and teenagers are going to have kids of their own who will follow in the footsteps of their youthful decadence.

Classic Music Albums: 2pacalypse Now
As a roadie for the Hip Hop superstar act known as Digital Underground in the early 90’s, Tupac Shakur was looking to branch out on his own and make his first solo album. Having been entrenched in the newly vibrant world of Hip Hop and coming from a militant Black Panther family background, Tupac Shakur’s first album would come in the form of 2pacalypse Now.
