Songs of my Life
I was raised on Friday nights filled with vinyl and CDs, of ballads, hits, classics and nostalgic melodies. My parents, sister, and I would dim the lights, pick an album and spend the night lost in the tunes. We had a wall of CD's a meter long and 2 shelves high. At one point I spent hours alphebetising them all, but I think I have up halfway through.

"What Do You Listen To?"
I don't usually talk about this. I've been insecure about my musical tastes. I thought that if someone was interested in my preferences, they must've had their own favorites pinned down for some time. If someone was asking me about music, they must have had extensive knowledge about their favorite bands and genres. If I said I liked the thing they like, I would be exposed as an air-head who doesn't care enough about things I claim to enjoy. I liked a lot of different things and knew very little about any of them.

The Song that Broke the Cycle: Addicted! (And Other Helpful Tunes)
In 9th Grade Junior High, after a six-year hiatus, Rush, the Canadian trio titans of the progressive rock world, went on tour promoting their newest album, Vapor Trails. My entire family, extended and all, rushed off to see the live show in Salt Lake City, Utah. All except for me. I claimed I didn’t care much for Rush and stayed home to watch the younglings. What did I actually do? Turned on the electronic babysitter, slunk away to the computer, took to the internet, and watched porn, played video games, then watched some more porn. And more. When my family returned in band t-shirts with smiles and memories I realized I had missed out on something great. In truth, I loved Rush, especially their newest album.

How to Break Vashikaran on Someone
Vashikaran is an ancient Indian technique that involves the use of powerful spells and rituals to gain control over someone’s thoughts, emotions, and actions. It is believed to be a form of black magic that is used to manipulate and control others for personal gain. However, this practice is highly discouraged and considered unethical in many cultures. If you or someone you know is under the influence of Vashikaran, it can have a detrimental impact on their personal and professional lives. In this article, let’s explore the role of astrology in breaking Vashikaran on someone and what astrology says about this practice.

Melody of a Life
Some time in nineteen seventy: I was born! Whether or not this was the beginning of a new decade or the end of an era depends on whom you're talking to. I was a rather cranky baby, and prone to being sick. I can't sugarcoat this; I read my mom's diary. Mom had to stay in the hospital for three days, where the night nurse would forget that Mom was still nursing me, and we'd both fall asleep in exhaustion. When Mom got back home (her brother drove us), Dad swooped me up, plopped in the rocking chair, and said she had dishes to do. Little paternal bleeper didn't do his dishes the whole time she was gone!! He has less than zero excuse; he was an Army cook! So Mom went from birth, to post partum with infection and recovery, to being driven home, to doing dishes. While Dad got a chance to cuddle me. He evolved, I swear.

Close my Eye
When I close my eyes and let my mind wander to think of the music that made me feel, some moments in life come to the forefront of my mind. I can hear the music as I realize the moments. I'll try and write about each one in chronological order, but the truth is each memory, the sounds and feelings, flutter past my shut eyes in discernable order.

Rick Henry Christopher's Jazz Art
Rick Henry Christopher's Jazz Art is a series of digital art I created based upon the emotions and inspiration I receive from my favorite jazz musicians. Some of these pieces are based on photographs, others are based on drawings, some are based on a few splashings of color. Then I go to work on the computer putting them through various apps. I've created more than 75 pieces. In this article I am sharing six.
