At birth, I naturally appeared as a broadcaster —with a voice—enormously greater than normal for the vocal chords. I was bestowed with a strange kind of beaver-hiccups that leaned into intolerable colics, as and when , I gathered awareness about my surroundings, viz a viz, gut feelings. In 1986, when I was fourteen years old, my folks told me and my brothers that we were moving. I had just started ninth grade at Johnson Junior High School and had been looking forward to being the “upperclassman”. I was going to be in the Junior ROTC class, I was going to take up the saxophone. I even had a friend, who was a GIRL, and who seemed to kind of tolerate me, which was an unusual state of affairs up to that point. The news that we were moving over a THOUSAND miles away was devastating.

Theremin - A Playlist
Introduction The theremin is an unconventional electronic instrument, named after its Soviet inventor LĂ©on Theremin in 1928, and which doesn't require any contact to be operated. The fruit of research into proximity sensors, the theremin's setup is usually consisting of two metal antennas that sense the distance to the player's hands and react accordingly, one controlling the volume of the sound, and the other controlling the frequency and therefore the pitch. By moving both hands in the air and changing the distance to the antennas, musicians produce an eerie electronic sound.

A Soundtrack To Life
If life is like a movie, then you have to have a soundtrack, right? It wouldn't make sense for life to not have a playlist of tracks that not only help spell out your life through music, but also give a sense to others about how it felt to be in that moment (or moments). This might be a playlist, but like any great one, it won't fully encapsulate what it is that its trying to evoke in terms of emotion. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever fully capture how life is. But, you gotta give it a try, and just like life, you gotta go with the flow. So here's the playlist (in no particular order). There's a description next to the song to show what it invoked or captured in me during those specific moments and segments in time in my life. Some of these tracks don't have lyrics, as they would be included in a film soundtrack. And, some of these songs are not in English.
