understand this sentence for most people both seem random and confusing but by the end of this video you will be able to see this image and understand that sentence based on new theories of how consciousness works also write in the comments below what you think this sentence is saying as by the end of the video what you wrote will give you an interesting clue into who you are as a person it was only in the late 1800s that the scientific study of consciousness began by studying animal brains and patients with epilepsy humans started to understand that electrical signals in the brain send and process information and these neural pathways are likely leading to our sentient consciousness but even now scientists are still trying to grapple with how our consciousness is formed like our brain this jelly-like organ sealed in our skull away from everything in complete silence and darkness is what creates our ability to hear and see things like wow we know that outside of you there is a reality that exists outside of your body and mind is a world full of real materials and objects and our complex bodies use our senses as windows per se to observe touch smell hear and detect the real world around us and don't ever let someone tell you only have five senses what is this 350 bc you have proprioception which is the sense of your body's position like I'm standing up or falling over you have thermoception the sense of temperature and heat that your body is able to pick up so using our senses we convey the information about the world around us to the brain where complex electrical signals process and read the information and create our perceptions leading to consciousness visually it would look like this you a person looking at a coffee cup your sense of vision gathering the information to send to the brain where it does all the work to understand ooh yay that is a coffee cup but if this were fully true you'd be able to see this image and hear this sentence and this is where a new theory of consciousness comes in to try and explain what's going on there is contemporary thought saying that the brain is actually constantly making predictions based on knowledge and context of the world around you and your senses are only there to tie these predictions to reality known as perception error minimization your senses are just confirming what your brain has already predicted visually it would look something like this your brain is predicting to see a coffee cup and your senses are just backing up or your brain already predicted with the sense of vision if you make a cup of coffee then you put it down on a table next time you look at it your brain predicts probably there's going to be a coffee cup there and then your vision is there to back it up this helps you control your perception of the world our brain is a predicting making machine so much so that there are even times where the predictions get in the way of reality this illusion is a great example called Adelson's checkerboard your perception of greatness is not due to actual sensory input or you would be able to tell that these tiles are actually the same color since your brain is relying on past knowledge and context of how shadows work you see these tiles as separate colors and even when you know they are the same color if you go back with the shadows you still can't really unsee it your brain is a prediction-making machine that can't fix itself in this moment this means that this illusion is cognitively impenetrable now let's look at the image from the beginning of the video you don't have any knowledge or context of this image which is why you can't see it but it is actually a two-tone image of a woman kissing a horse uh here's her head uh here's the horse she's obviously into some interesting things with her life gorgeous photo in my opinion but now when we go back to this image you can likely make out what it is now the sensory input of this image has not changed at all the only thing that has changed is your brain's predictions based on knowledge and context which now changes what you consciously see you can see the girl you can see the horse now the sentence that i played for you is just a sentence with the high frequencies taken out without any context it has very r2d2 energy you can't really understand what is being said now let's play the real sentence for you the man's painting a sign and we play the original audio and you now can hear it there's a lot of contemporary science now that our consciousness is much more controlled by our brain's predictions based on the context of our lives so when you go and look at the comments of what you thought that sentence was or what other people thought it might give insight into the context of your life for example many people in call centers thought that the sentence was saying who is calling you maybe that's something that they were just used to hearing a lot or they're just constantly thinking about picking up the phone me obsessed with understanding how consciousness works because um consciousness is my whole entire life so this information to me has honestly changed my whole American Teen Wakes Up From Coma Speaking FLUENT Spanish
This story was sent to me and although it happened a couple months ago I really wanted to comment on it in September of this year a teenager from Georgia named Ruben Simo and I'm sorry If I'm Saying that incorrectly Anyway ruben was playing Soccer When he was kicked in the head and suffered a serious concussion he had to be airlifted to a hospital and was in a coma for 3 Days and when he woke up something really strange happened the first Words out of his mouth was Tango ombre War I'm hungry in Spanish and This Is strange because Ruben only knew a few phrases in Spanish before his accident and the only contact he had with Spanish speakers was His brother Who studied in Spain and his Spanish speaking teammates but now Ruben is able to speak Spanish fluently For The First Time In his life also what's strange is that he could No longer speak English well He told time that it started flowing out I felt like it was like second Nature for me I wasn't speaking my English right and every time i tried to speak it I would have a seizure in the Weeks After The accident Ruben gradually recovered the ability to speaking English and now He speaks both languages fluently although he says the Spanish has begun to fade this phenomenon is rare but not unheard of and although the Medical community cannot explain it they do have a name for it it's called the foreign Accent syndrome sometimes the foreign language syndrome and dozens of cases has been reported from around the world with the first reported in 1941 When A Norwegian Woman suffered sharp no injuries to the Brain during a German bombing run and started speaking with a German Accent another interesting case happened 3 years ago When police found a Navy vet unconscious in a South California Hotel When he woke up he had No Memory of his life and spoke only Swedish in Australia a former Bus Driver got into a serious car accident that left her with a Broken back and jaw when She woke up She was left with something completely unexpected a French Accent and in a previous video on this channel I covered the story of a 25 year-old living in England Who woke up from a car crash and spoke Perfect French Anyway most researchers such as Dr Karen CR one of the few experts in foreign Accent syndrome told CNN a few years ago Speech is one of the most complicated things we do and There are a lot of bring sensors involved in coordinating a lot of Moving parts If one or more of them are damaged that can affect the timing Melody and attention of their Speech but that doesn't really explain how people are waking Up and suddenly are fluent in a different language so to me and this is just My opinion There are only two explanations that sort of make Sense one is that our Brain is just insane awesome and somehow it absorbs Everything we come in contact with in our life it's like downloading in the matrix Everything we come in contact with our Brain just somehow absorbs and kind of like How hypnosis can somehow bring forth hidden memories so with the right Trigger We can Tab into those Skills We didn't even know We had another possibility is that people suffering from foreign language syndrome is somehow tapping into their past lives because if you think about it If We had ped lives then Of course We would have been born in different Places All around the world and does have spoken different languages and somehow Deep down we still remember them what I really don't buy into is that This is Simply a timing or tension of the Speech thing I mean people are waking up from comas speaking fluent languages they didn't know before There is definitely something really mysterious going on and it is not that easily explained so guys Let's talk about it I really want to know what you think let me know in the comments do you feel like this phenomenon is happening only because of some sort of Speech thing or you think it's something more mysterious let me know in the comments below Thank you all so much for watching see you

What happens after we die is a question really no one can ever truly answer I mean we all have our beliefs some of us like myself believe in reincarnation some believe in heaven and hell and some don't believe anything at all I just read this article that was sent to me and it was pretty interesting it talks about a doctor named rajie party who was the chief anesthetist at Bakersfield Heart Hospital in California and how he would always dismiss his own patients when they tell him about their out-of- body experience until he had his own Dr party described himself as a very materialistic person he has made a lot of money which he spends on nice cars a huge house and he puts a lot of pressure on his kids to make a lot of money as well this was until one day he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and after a series of surgeries nothing got better one day at home Dr party suddenly felt weak and was rushed to the hospital with a bad infection and immediately went in for surgery he said that after he was was put under he had an outof Body Experience where he could see himself being operated on he said everything was so clear to him he could see everything and hear everything going on in the room in fact he even heard and remembered an off-color joke made by one of the doctors then from the operating room he was transported back to when he was a child with his mother and sister in India he was able to see his mother and sister so perfectly he could even remember the exact clothes they were wearing right after that though everything turned terrifying Dr party said he heard screams of pain and anguish and he was drawn in to the edge of a flaming Canyon where he smelled smoke and burning flesh and he knew that he was on the Edge of Hell there he heard a voice that said you have led a materialistic and selfish life at the same time he kept seeing visions of his life where he put material things above actually helping other people Dodger party then said he was helped away from the Edge of Hell by two angels who told him to reevaluate his life and that he would eventually become a he heer of souls when Dr party woke up he was in the hospital and he tried telling the doctors what he saw even repeating the exact joke that he heard during his surgery although the doctors were surprised that he was able to recall the joke they did not believe him and just thought that he may have just woken up a bit during that part of the surgery but Dr party was convinced of his experience so much so that he quit his job sold his house and cars and established a new practice to help people through meditation and other alternative methods now near-death experiences for ndes are more common than you think in fact ndes are reported by an estimated 200,000 Americans a year and studies around the world suggest ndes are a common Human Experience since 1992 13 million Americans were 5% of the nation's population had experienced a near-death experience so personally I I do believe that Dr party did have an actual outof body experience and I believe he saw what he saw but let me know what you guys think next up in a bit too quick L make computers into our human overlords Google's AI company Deep Mind has now partnered up with Blizzard Entertainment so that his computers can play the Starcraft games and by doing so develop more advanced AI algorithms capable of learning reasoning remembering and adapting complex strategies to win now if you didn't know Google's AI has already mastered a number of games including the classic atori breakout which it mastered in 2 hours and it was so good at the the Chinese board game go that had beat the human gold Champion earlier this year but now the AI will be dealing with multiple human opponents it's got to manage resources and work out the best way to win on a map where nothing is revealed until Scouts are sent out and it's got to deal with the fields between Jim and carrian so basically we are teaching computers on how to beat us in space combat and to not pity us at all when we try to beg it for Mercy by telling it a mushy soft story finally 35-year-old renit Singh from Northern India is trying to set a new world record for lifting super heavy objects with his beard Mr Sing who works as a factory worker first started lifting objects with his beard in 2010 after being inspired by stunts he seen on television so he decided that same day that he will prepare himself for a Guinness Book of World Records and get his country a record in beard lifting he started facial hair workouts from videos he found online and became more confident after lifting his first 10 lb object object from then on he lifted a boy and now he can lift a person who weighs around 120 lbs currently the beard lifting record is 138 lbs belonging to antanas krias from Lithuania but sing is looking to break that record by lifting 141 lbs he does say that most of his family finds what he's doing pretty embarrassing but his 10-year-old son sees him as a hero because he can do something that no other dads can do and if you look at that picture yeah his wife doesn't seem all that thrilled but hey who knows maybe beard man would make an appearance in the next Avengers movie but seriously as kind of weird as this story is I really do respect people who set out to achieve something and actually does it and I hope Mr Sing does end up breaking the record in this video we talked about a doctor who saw how Google is training the next Skynet and the man who has a beard who could lift more than most of us.
