From a Guy in the Girl World
When I was a kid, I wanted to hang out with the boys. At the time, I was under the impression that I was a girl. I was wrong, but that came later. Then, all I knew was that hanging out with the boys was fun. There was something that the boys and I shared in common. It made hanging out with the boys—being one of the boys—easier than hanging out with the girls. The boys wanted to rough house, shout, and be loud. I wanted to rough house, shout, and be loud.

I Fallen And I Can't Get Up
Looking back, I enjoyed my time in middle school. Grades sixth through eighth is a time for growth, puberty, and having a crush or two. Puppy-love hit me like a ton of bricks in the sixth grade until this day, and I don't regret it one bit. For security purposes, we'll name him "James," James was considered the popular guy in school in the sixth grade, and being labeled popular brought so much power and exposure. Like most young girls, I fell into the trap of following the flock. I've always been private with my crushes. I never bragged about who I liked because, frankly, I didn't trust anyone withholding my secret. I just professed my love by scribbling in my notebook along with my jar full of hope, hoping that one day he would eventually like me back.

Chrissy Teigen Proves Just How Harmful Adult Bullying Is
Chrissy Teigen has been trending for quite a while now — but not for the best of reasons. She has a history of attacking individuals online particularly through Twitter , and being called out for her bullying has caused a lot of people to consider her “cancelled” (which is a problem all on its own in our digital age — but that is another story).

Social Shock
I have never been that comfortable around other people. I have a tendency to come across either stuck up or shy, and then once I get comfortable, I will not shut up. I even wrote a poem about it when I was in my senior year of high school, titled “Shy Girl Who Never Shuts Up.”

Katarzyna
Katarzyna This is one of my recent names. In my life I have used and still use many others. My brother called me Ynia. It was because once in our childhood I told him I was going to name my daughter in an unusual way. For example, I said I would give her a name starting with letter Y. In Polish, not a single word starts with this letter. I chose the name Ynia.

What I learned from divorcing my parents. Top Story - June 2021.
Here is an early memory of me being a kindergartener. My mom and I were sorting recent photos and adding them to the photo album (Photo album — Wikipedia). As she flipped through the pictures, she picked out a photo of me happily posing like a bunny in front of a fancy hotel.

A Bitter-Sweet Knitting Victory
I remember it like it was yesterday. At the age of seven, my great grandmother (Nani) looked at me and said," you are a special young lady and you're going to be very successful no matter what path or route you take." She knew that I was creative and said that my talents would take me far in life.

Happy Hour Wasn't Very Happy
I love my younger sister. She’s my best friend, not to mention one of the most talented and intelligent people I’ve ever met. I’m not just saying this because we’re siblings, either. Other people tell us all the time how amazing B. is and, as a proud big sister, I can’t help but agree.

I'm Not Drunk, I'm Just Cheerful.
Many years ago, I found myself in a serious pickle. Born and raised in a third-world country where most people live under the poverty line, I knew education was my way to build a decent living. After working my ass off through Medical School and then Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, I landed one of the very few available positions in the country as a University professor. I was excited and happy, thinking my gamble on a more extended education in a highly specialized field had paid off.

What Makes Me Tick
Have you ever felt that sensation in your heart, your soul, and your mind, that just makes you feel a purpose? Does it make you feel relief from the stressful world around us? Does it make you feel calm, alive, and amazing all at once? Does it make everything seem like when it is just you and that one thing the whole world has just stopped clean in its tracks, and everything right now is just blissfully perfect? I have and I couldn’t even begin to describe the magic of it. It’s not only my hobby, it also my job. It is the very thing that makes me tick ad keeps me going when things are dark and grey!
