Happy Birthday. Top Story - February 2018.
“A few of my friends and I are going out for my birthday next week. Do you want to join us?” I looked at Lilia in shock. We had only been roommates for one semester, and although we got along well, I had never hung out with her and her friends before. Of German and Spanish descent, but born and raised in Toronto, Lilia was beautiful, trilingual, and the most musically inclined person I had ever met.

What to Order at Your Favorite Fast Food Restaurant
I'm writing this article based on a bunch of different opinions I have found online, some friends and family opinions, and my own personal opinions! Meaning, that I am posting most of the fast food restaurants that are around my local area. And no, where I live, we really don't have the best fast food restaurants like others do, unless we drive a very long way!

Creating Your Home School Experiences
Part of the learning experience with your kids can start in your kitchen. Part of the moments you share with your toddlers or teens can be around kitchen moments. You can choose and create several experiences around your kitchen. You have an amazing opportunity to turn those moments in the kitchen to a fun learning experience. Toddlers will want to observe and begin to learn how you make cookies or cupcakes. Older teens will want to start mixing and making recipes, too.

All Natural Food Finds
These days it is not always the healthiest choice to eat regular pasta, and wheat pasta can not only taste pretty bland, or if you don't buy a really good brand it can taste pretty awful. Then there is texture, which makes all the difference in whether or not you find a food appetizing. My best friend Liz had her mouth wired shut once, and I tried the same dinner I was eating in her pureed variety she had to eat, and it tasted NOTHING like the amazing dinner I just had. Texture does matter.

Trying Something New – Sapori in White Plains Makes It Easy
Whenever I went to classy Italian Restaurants as a kid, I thought myself cosmopolitan in typically ordering veal parmesan and spaghetti. Eventually I learned that my standard was pretty stunted, and taking a risk on something unfamiliar was where the world was at. Even so, anxiety still can’t help but escalate in the interim. This was definitely the case as I selected Pollo Scarpariello at the newly opened Sapori Italian Restaurant in White Plains.

Valentine's Cupcakes
With Valentine's right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about what to get your partner for the big day. Maybe a nice meal out? Maybe a nice box of chocolates? Maybe a bunch of flowers? Or maybe something personal? Something made by you especially for your SO. Something you can enjoy yourself. Something quick, simple, and cheap... Why not try making them yourself?

Miracle Whip Chocolate Cake
My favorite dessert hands down has to be chocolate cake. What's not to love? So light and moist and chocolaty. It's a bit of heaven in every bite. There's a certain chocolate cake recipe that I'm particularly a fan of that I've been eating for as long as I can remember: my grandma's chocolate cake recipe. This recipe has been around longer that I have been and I'm sure it goes back past my grandma baking it, but I do have fond memories of baking it with her as a child and that memory definitely makes the cake that much sweeter to me.
