Mother always said, If you don't put things away, they'll grow legs and wander off!

She didn't tell me they'd listen to my conversations first, then report to the government.

Thought it was a spider! Nearly squashed it with my shoe!

Might've been better if I had.

    Another note: based on a true story! Someone was looking for a lost earbud recently, and we were talking about how the loss of wired earphones and the universal jack to plug them in to devices would eventually be pinpointed as the start of civilisation's inevitable downfall. This story sprouted in my brain directly afterwards.
