Everyone at school knew the Toad was always angry. He never smiled. He didn’t play with the other animals at recess and used bad words if someone tried to talk to him. He would hit and yell at the other animals and thought it was ok to do that. He was always angry, and no one knew why. One day, the angry Toad yelled at his classmates on the playground. He said mean words and made Mouse and Bunny cry. This upset Frog, who was the nicest one in class to everybody. Frog decided to ask Toad why he was so angry so he could try to help him.

Nature grew angry and Man grew fearful, and in the forests where the Men of old once walked and spoke with Nature, silence grew complete.

Story 1: Giving An old carpenter was planning to retire. He told his employer that he wanted to leave the construction business and go home to enjoy his extended family with his wife and children. The owner could not bear to see his good worker go, so he asked if he could help build another house. The carpenter said yes. But everyone could see later that his heart was no longer in the work. He used soft materials and did rough work. When the house was finished, the boss handed him the key to the front door. "This is your house," he said. "My gift to you." He was dumbfounded with shock and shame. If he knew he was building his own house, how could he? Now he has to live in a shoddy house! So it is with us. We build our lives carelessly, reacting rather than reacting, not striving for perfection, not doing our best when it matters. By the time we realize where we are, we are trapped inside the "house" we have built. Think of your house as the carpenter. Each day you hammer a nail, add a board, or erect a wall, and build it with your wisdom. Your life is the only creation you make in your life. It cannot be erased or rebuilt. Even if you only have one day to live, live that day beautifully and nobly.
