The Blue-Eyed Beast
The first four moons of the month had gone by with the same estranged feeling of dusk and twilight lingering behind them with a feeling of temping enthrallment and with the pit feeling of anxiety as if something was not right or as if something was changing. But that was of nights past, and this night began with the sinking of the sun, the jewels of the sky shining against a darkened atmosphere, and the feeling of an unknown omen. A collection of eight moons exposed themselves in the cold winter air. Some were full or on their way whilst others were hidden by the darkness as they budded a crescent appearance or began a new cycle, only to become full on the following moon week. Regardless of their different sets and progress, all of them loomed over the village of Anamesa with a brooding threat. The threat of the blue-eyed beast.

The Making of Santa
The Making of Santa The old man walked down the cobbled street. His cane made a soft clicking sound as it hit the stone. The snow-covered his bushy grey eyebrows and his beard. He didn’t notice the three men following him at a distance, quietly watching his every move. Two young boys ran into him knocking his top hat off his head.

Dragon's Blood
Chapter 2: Darcie Luck was anywhere but at our side as Obsidian and Sacre failed to find a suitable living space. Now, we had only two options: stay in this city under a Human Glamour, or travel to a neighboring city. Why we felt the need to stay nearby failed to show itself... For now, at least. All we knew was that we had to stay. A final check to ensure that we had all of our supplies and Glamours in order was mandatory before we left, of course. But as our fate would have it, Sacre couldn't transform. Not fully.

Mystic Music
It had finally come; the day I had been regretting my entire life. My acceptance letter to our family’s Alma Mater, Hantaazu Akkaddamii. My father had moved us back to our home near Guangdong. It once was a favorite place of mine as a kid to go relax and hide from my destiny-preaching grandfather. We had inherited it after he passed in the spring. Just in time for the fall semester, my father will joke. He had attended but he has no power or motivation for anything. He hardly takes care of this run-down shrine. No one remembers why this shrine was built. When my father was a child, any written documents that remained had been burned. Now it's an underused resting place for hikers. The letter is written to my real name, but I prefer Luke. It is in no way traceable to my family tree. I am named after the great foreigner who saved the world from its original tyrant and I am told I should be glad to be a Tora Hanta. In America, I became Luke Teichman, taking my mother's maiden name. Her last name is all I know about her; I was given to my father a month after I was born. I can only assume this is my grandfather's doing. Now I have a new school to battle over my name. So little purpose in arguing the importance, however.

The Objectivist Ascension
It’s been a decade since I wrote those pages. At the time it seemed nothing more than my thoughts put to paper, a political and philosophical journal entry. Ayn Rand would be ecstatic at what has come to pass. Her trains of “second handers,” as she often called those who did not adhere to her “extreme capitalism,” were seen as inevitable victims of altruistic policies. If only she had seen the evil selfishness of altruism, perhaps she would have felt differently about it. Altruism is a collection of self aggrandized “do-gooders” that are more interested in the appearance of moral superiority and virtuous actions than they are in actually creating a fair and just society.
