Wolf & Her
Once there was a wolf, and this wolf was all alone. All of the other wolves had been caught or killed. But this last wolf, he stayed. And he did all of the usual Wolfie things. He lived in a cave high up in the mountains. He raided the occasional flock for a stray sheep.

Escaping
Joanna had never planned on leaving, she hadn't imagined that one day she would return home to find her husband had left her; having stolen their joint possessions and money. Even their house had been put on the market and sold. Most women would have been angry and vengeful, but all Joanna felt was a strange sense of whiplash as she tried to figure out what to do next. The only action she could take, after seeing that all her worldly possessions had been sold right out from under her, was get in her car and start driving. As she drove away from what supposedly wasn't hers, she couldn't help looking back at her house; this home, which had been more a prison than anything else...

A New Spirit
************************* The beginning of a new day, the red fiery sun gave light to a jungle village. Its warrior-like inhabitants have already started milling about going about their daily business. The huts are built within the ancient trees of the jungle where bridges connect most of the village. Vines are sometimes used to get from one section to another quickly. Pulley systems are scattered throughout the village to get good up to the trees. The people only fight when it has to come to such measures but they avoid it if necessary. They have protected and guarded their jungle home for centuries now. Everyone is trained in the art of the sword though mostly men are the common warriors. Most women will take up a bow and stay in the safety of the trees then a blade. But there is a woman who is as head-strong; even more so than the men and prefer the blade to a bow.

Enchantment
It was unusually cold for the season, it seemed that the leaves had changed from green to orange overnight and we went from cicadas in the trees to wind howling outside of my windows in just a few weeks. The steam from my tea was dancing in the sunlight with both of my hands wrapped around my oversized mug to hopefully help take the chill out of my bones a little quicker. I looked to Emery stretched out on the back of my sofa his paws seemingly reaching for something I could not see. Emery is an orange tabby I had found digging through my trash a few years ago, long gone are his days of scrounging for food as he must be one of the fattest cats I know. His eyes opened as I went to scratch his belly his head perking up.
