Eight Indie Games That Don't Get Enough Love
I am, from top to bottom, an indie snob, the type that doesn't get excited about any game with mainstream popularity. It's been a boom time for independent developers in the world of electronic entertainment, but also a very challenging one. The biggest hurdle for indie devs is discovery - they depend on the press to get noticed at all. That's why it saddens me to see so many "best of" lists featuring the same mega-sellers over and over again. Seriously, Stardew Valley doesn't need the boost.

Metroid Samus Returns Review
Context is everything, it can make a victory seem more like a defeat and a loss can be softened in time. 2017 was a stellar year for gaming. Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey and Hollow Knight released along with several other incredible titles. Zelda and Mario both got seminal titles that pushed their franchises in all new directions and the little Indie studio Team Cherry produced what is to some the best 2d adventure Metroidvania of all time. But in the midst of all these incredible releases Metroid Samus Returns came out for the aging 3DS platform. I personally did not pick up the game till 2018, and playing it I had a lot of fun, but I was also a little disappointed. Not because of Hollow Knight per se, but because of another smaller release.

So, I tide myself over with pumpkin spice lattes, Harry Potter re-runs, and Halloween themed events in my favourite video-games.

So...Collectible Video Game Investment is a Thing Now
My childhood took place during what could be considered the Golden Age of video gaming. The Nintendo was ubiquitous in American households and the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Playstation, and N64 were all released while I was just a young lad. When these came out, there was no way to know that they would hold huge resale value. I mean, you got games to play them and that was that.

What to Expect When You Haven’t Played Animal Crossing in a While
So it’s been a minute huh? You took a break from all the responsibilities of running an island, maybe started a new game, or perhaps your switch has just been collecting dust. It feels like it wasn’t that long ago where Nintendo Switches were flying off the shelves and sold out almost everywhere you went. However, it’s been over an entire year since then, so the real question is, how long did the AC fever last for you?
