Tate Donovan Switches TV/Film Gears for Broadway
Photos by nationalwildlife.federation Tate Donovan landed his first major film credit alongside John Cryer and Demi Moore in the 1984 comedy No Small Affair. He followed the introduction up with larger roles in Space Camp, Clean and Sober and Memphis Belle. Off those successes, Donovan co-starred in his first leading role with Sandra Bullock in Love Potion No. 9, and has built a career that has kept him busily bouncing between films such as Swordfish and The Pacifier and TV stints on Friends, Ally McBeal, The OC and Damages. In June, he follows up his 2010 Broadway run on the Southie based drama Good People with something that he tongue-in-cheek considers contemporary.

Our main problem is the distortion of various facts by the movie makers. It is based on the accounts of Prithviraj Raso, a poem written in Pingalj language (a mixture of Braj & Rajasthani) by the famous poet Chand Bardai. It is a disputed fact that Chand Bardai was ever a court poet of the king. According to our researchers, who have scanned through hundreds of historical text and available inscriptions, Bardai wrote the book in the 16th century, almost 400 years after the reign of the king. The account that he has presented about the king is highly speculative and fictitious.

I asked Author Simon Sinek Weird Stuff
Let’s be honest, I’ve got just about every Simon Sinek book in my collection. Heck, he (or whoever manages his account) once liked one of my Instagram posts when I tagged his book that I was reading while at the beach, and I squealed. To say I am a fan is probably doing him a disservice, so when he agreed to have a chat on the phone I was more than thrilled. Did he assume I would ask him about his favorite book recommendations, I am sure of it. Did it cross his mind that I might also ask him to tell me a secret to share with the world? Probably not.
