Two Sentence Horror Stories Season Two on Netflix
Two Sentence Horror Stories Season Two on Netflix A Review By Kami Bryant I love horror. I love the jump scares. I love the weird and the bizarre. I love the suspense. I love the on the edge of your seat, pee your pants terror. I love screaming at my screen, “Don’t go up the stairs! Run out the door! He is behind you!” I love all of it. “The call is coming from inside the house.” I hear a scary noise, let me go to the creepy basement to investigate. And the stupid girl yelling “Hello?”, as if the killer is going to answer, “Yeah, I’m in here making a sandwich. I will be out to kill you in just a minute.” Two Sentence Horror Stories isn’t that scary, but it is fun and compelling. There is a subreddit for Two Sentence Horror Stories if you are curious. https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoSentenceHorror/

The Elevator Game
Last night I decided to try out Discovery Plus and as an avid Ghost Adventures fan, I was very curious to hear about their most recent investigation of the Cecil Hotel and the disappearance of Elisa Lam. As most people remember, Elisa vanished back in 2013 on a trip from San Diego up to northern California while staying at the Cecil Hotel. Strange footage was released which shows Elisa acting very odd and apparently attempting to interact with some unseen figure outside the camera's range.

The 'Genre' of Supernatural
It has been argued that television programmes do not always ascertain to one specific genre, often because programmes span multiple years and episodes during their run and committing to one genre may result in the stagnation of the audience. As a result “the texts of a given genre are much more broad ranging and diverse than can be summed up by typical claims” (Mittell, 2004, 5). In the case of Supernatural (2005), a programme that concluded at the end of 2020 after a 15-year-run, the showrunners make a point of manipulating genre and a diverse range of genre tropes in the case of multiple episodes. Whereas the overall narrative remains firmly in the roots of paranormal/supernatural drama horror genre, Supernatural frequently and deliberately manipulates other genres, often in the form of homage or specific reference.

NOS4A2 Revisted
With Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to take this opportunity to revisit one of the coolest moments of my life because 2020 has been a royal-pile-of-glitter. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love Joe Hill as a writer. It started a little after I graduated high-school when I found his paperback, Horns, on the shelf at a bookstore in the Los Angeles Airport.

Creepshow (TV Horror Series 2019) Part 1
Creepshow The TV series, was a delightful treat when it was annouced. All kinds of ghouls and boils rejoiced when the news broke. The new show would air on the streaming service Shudder. At the time, I had never heard of of the streamer. My knowledge grew as my anticipation for the show grew. All I really knew about the service was it featured an assortment of horror, supernatural, thrillers, and suspense films. I had grown tiresome of Netflix and other services barely offering horror in the general sense. Libraries always felt empty. Shudder, now just reaching over 1 million subscribers is set to grow into its own powerhouse. Slowly growing up its power and influence. I've gone out of my way to subscribe to Shudder right before it turns into its own force to be reckoned with, owned by AMC. This is the scary uncle in the dark corner during the holidays.

The Haunting of Hill House: How Drama compliments Horror
At its core 'The Haunting of Hill House' is a family drama, centred around the lives of the Crain family, with splashes of horror mixed in. Based on Shirley Jacksons gothic-horror novel from 1959, the series goes back and forth between modern-day life and flashbacks to each characters childhood, starting with Steve, the oldest.

A Creepshow Animated Special
Some may have never heard of Shudder. To be fair, they recently hit one million subscribers, and growing. I on the other hand, specifically became a member for a Shudder Original Show, Creepshow. Based on the beloved 80's dark, comic horror film and subsequently influenced by EC Horror comics of the 50's. George A. Romero and Stephen King crafted a cartoonish yet frightening anthology. Stories cater to different tastes. One thing stands out though, and thats the Fun! "The Most Fun You'll Ever Have... BEING SCARED!" If you like your camp dark, join us as a counselor.

TVD Characters Ranked
With The award winning 2009-2017 tween vampire drama leaving Netflix this November , I decided it was time for a re-watch/final season watch. While there are massive ups and down for all the characters, this article will showcase the top ten and reasons why. Some emissions may shock you but frankly, Elena doesn’t deserve to be in the top ten anyway.

The Second Coming of Holliston
Let me tell you everything I know about Holliston. It currently resides in Massachusetts. That ended faster than expected. That is the extent of my knowledge of the location. My knowledge of Holliston the universe is growing quickly. The television show paints the idea that in this universe horror references abound, and horror celebrities inhabit the strange, absurd, rock fueled, scare grasped world. There are no sitcoms on quite like Holliston. Perhaps never will be. Yet, it never quite got the fanfare it deserved until it was all but too late.
