Ever since I was 18, I should've known how complicated dating was going to be. Chemistry Class
This story starts with me, 17 years old, in my junior year of high school. At this point I have never once worried about a boy, or any relationship for that matter; school is the first thing on my mind when I wake up and when I go to sleep. I of course had friends (who even though are not my friends anymore, play a gargantuan role in the unfolding of this story) and they all happened to have Honors Chemistry during a different class period than me. So, naturally I went to visit them at the end of the school year during their class period when all of my AP teachers had finished what they were hired to do—which is teach until the exams, and then they were free. They had been talking about this boy who was a grade under us (this specific chemistry class was offered to both sophomores and juniors), and how they were pretty good acquaintances now. He was supposedly a smaller boy who was unbelievably hilarious, and one of the smartest people in his class.

Second Dates Aren't Always That Great
This is the story of my worst date, which oddly enough, was my second date with Cece. It all started on a weekend I was home visiting my parents. I decided to open up Tinder and see if I could find anyone interesting on the app since I was in a different place. Cece popped up on my screen and after looking through her profile, I decided I'd swipe right. It was a match instantaneously. Now, I can't recall who messaged who first, but we seemed to hit it off right away to the point that she wanted to hang out with me the next day. I usually wouldn't go on a date with someone I had been talking to for one day, but I was trying to do things that scare me, why? I still don't know.

The average human lives an estimate of 25,915 days and spends a mere 10 percent of their time living to find someone to love. I'm convinced that nobody knows what love really is. How do we explain to our children that it isn't what we see in movies anymore? It isn't the proximity to meeting through our friends or heading to the local cafe. How do we explain that love is just swiping left and right on images of men/women that we may be attracted to? Millennials fall in love over messages, leaving nothing left to say when they meet for the first time face-to-face. Digital dating has become infiltrated with casual hookups or nothing at all. These days, you head to a club and instead of people socializing, you see tables of singles sitting on their cellphones swiping faces trying to decipher who they would have sex with later. Love has become a competition, prowling on the best-looking people.

Movie
Have you ever wished your life could play out life a movie? With the perfect music playing, having it narrated or the songs playing what was on someone’s mine. Well, I sure wish mine could be that way because since the day I met him my life has felt like one. The day I met him was crazy and overwhelming, I had volunteered to dress up to great kids for an event. The group I went with happened to have my partnering character already working with them. That’s where it all started. I wondered about this person the moment I stepped foot in the event. Even when I finally met them my mind raced. I wanted to know who this other person was. The days after the event we started talking more and more. He was just like me. A geek, a nerd, a Beatles fan. I couldn’t get enough of him. We talked for hours, staying up till 2-3 AM just going on.
