Should "Friend Marriages" Be a Thing?
It was really just a joke. I was chatting to a couple of single girlfriends about our love lives (or lack thereof) and the plight of single women in their 30s who want to have kids but aren’t ready to give up on romance and just settle down with a convenient person in order to build a family.

Tulips In The Garden
Every spring there comes a time when the flowers of my garden bloom. They adorn the green, grassy landscape with a rainbow of beauty in all shapes and sizes. The yellow tulips are my favorite. I care for them for months on end, washing their delicate petals, and cleaning their fragile stems. Their beauty can only be obtained one day of every year. When it is time for me to sit and have a spot of tea with an old friend. Yellow was her favorite color and the warm soil reminds me of her once beating heart when it slips through my fingers. What a tragic day it was when she left this earth, a day that me nor this garden will ever forget. In the early morning, I watch as the petals expand, revealing a gorgeous bright yellow center. Tears stream down my face as I envision her short yellow dress she loved to twirl in. The same dress she’d be wearing when I see my dearest friend with a cup of her favorite jasmine green tea, four cubes of sugar.

The Phoenix to Florida Fiasco
PHEONIX, AZ I’m 23 yrs old and engaged to a Canadian girl. I’m working as a Video clerk at the booming Jollywood video. This video place is really happening at the time, it is definitely hanging in there with the video store mogul BlockBuster. I bet they open more stores all over the country in the next few years. I was thinking I could make this a career move. Start to manage a few of these stores in an area, I could really dig that. Movies are not going anywhere, so this place will be around forever. However, I still do often think about where I should be at this time in my life. Shit, wasn’t it just three yrs ago that I was wrestling for the National Champion Blair College? I still kept in touch with my old teammates and it looks as though they are killing it again. I recently opened up those rankings just to see where I could have fit in, and sure enough, I see a few names that rang a bell. One was Ebenezer Smooth, he was now ranked #3 as a Sr. Damn, I still can remember cradling him up in practice every day with the Schalles cradle I had learned from the former Olympian at a camp (my Papa Lloyd put on) when I was 16. Another was that Blackberry kid I nearly beat at the Blair Open. He would win 10-9. Shit, I guess he transferred to my old school. He’s once again ranked #1, as he was the National champion the year I wrestled him. Damn, sometimes I just sit and think what could have and should have been. Instead, I’m here in Phoenix to be the manager of Jollywood Video. I guess it is what it is!

What’s waiting?
The Rest room was lush, the theme red velvet with makeshift painting of monalisa beside the large mirror. The door to the Restroom opened abruptly and in came a lady in a black dress, she looked around the room before slamming the door and locking it. She paused for a second, then closed her eyes taking a deep breath. The Rest room was even too expensive for her to sit in, Moving to the big mirror, her red stilettos smacked the floor as she moved to look at her reflection.

A Scientific Study: Are Fit People More Attractive?
Even without scientific studies as proof, most of us are not surprised to learn women are attracted to fit men and men are attracted to fit women, but new research from the University of Zurich in Switzerland has confirmed it.

Let the Feast Begin
The whole kingdom was bustling with excitement. There had been weeks of planning and preparation leading up to this coming night's event. A formal banquet, if you will, to welcome her, their newest member of the kingdom. There would be no stone left unturned. Everything she had imagined in her heart of hearts would come to fruition when the trumpets bellowed at the first guest's arrival. Even the scents of lavender and peaches were being breathed in all around her tonight. And she had butterflies around her, too...kissing her shoulders. The whole night was lit up with fireflies and a full moon. And even they were joyful. It was a Southern girl's dream.

The Story of David
I have spent days thinking about how to tell you the story of David. It's is essentially, MY story. The most influential person I've ever known. He contributed in the construction of who I am at the core. He is the biggest piece of my puzzle. I don't feel that, even with my writer's mind, my words on paper could ever do justice in fully describing...well, any of it but I promise to give it my best effort.
