Epic love stories and relationships as depicted in pop culture, though it rarely turns out like that in real life.
Podcasting With A Purpose
On the morning of June 7, 2020, the sun rose, illuminating the newly renovated signs at the major entry points to Appomattox County, Virginia, just as it had for decades. These signs convey a powerful message, reading: “Where Our Nation Reunited.” One hundred and fifty-five years ago, on April 9, 1865, Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant beneath an apple tree in Appomattox County; signaling the end of the long and bitter American Civil War. This event took place many lifetimes before, however, on the seventh day of June in the year 2020, the sun rose on a community and a nation that some might say was as divided as it was on that fateful afternoon so many years ago.

At Least We Don’t Have to Worry About These Things
As a kid, growing up in the sixties, I watched a lot of television. Probably not more than 12 hours a day, which didn’t seem like so much. Of course, we only had 3 channels, but I couldn’t watch more than one at a time, so that didn’t matter. I didn’t know anyone who had more than one TV.

Let's Be Real...It's Not Everything
Fine, fine...I'll go ahead and admit it. During two low points in 2020, I had delved deeper than usual into the Zodiac and tarot via watching others read tarot cards on Youtube. I did this out of cowardice because I didn't want to find a direct solution to my problems at the time; I basically just wanted to covertly figure out what others in my life may be thinking or doing based on their sign when I should have simply talked to them directly. As I said, it was a low point for me. And, yeah, I did feel stupid when I looked into it.

Why some people decide to travel the world alone and the beauty of it.
Travelling around the U.K. or any other country can be a very liberating, happy yet challenging, and sometimes lonely thing to do. It does not matter if you are with your family or a solo traveller.

Dirty Underwear and Scarves from Elvis
My grandfather never told me how he came into possession of Elvis’ scarf. The pale blue scarf was in decent shape lying on the kitchen table next to a faded yellow advertisement of the 1975 New Year’s Eve show in Detroit, Michigan. Beside the scarf were two Hummel figures, a hiking boy and a girl sitting with an umbrella. Dan, my older brother, ate cereal against the counter with a smile on his face.

Picture This: Holy. Freakin'. Crap.
Picture this: Your 26, and just unlocked the front door to your apartment, step son in tow to make it inside the living room before you do. He pulls it off, his backpack being hurled into the couch that's on the other side of the room.

Lady Luck
Never has there been such a moment where country music sounds so damn bad. ‘Give me a break’ I think as I turn the volume down. I look back to the road and catch my reflection in the rear-view mirror. A clown-face stares back; a portrait of stupidity.

Bull in a China Shop
Let me start off by saying, I don't normally pay any attention to zodiac signs. Like... at all. It's not to say I hate people who are into astrology, or hate talking about it. I've just never been interested. Being something because you're born on a certain day doesn't make much sense to me. I have tried so very hard to understand it, and I can't.
