Fighting to Stay Alive
After barely surviving a hemorrhagic stroke, I knew I'd have to give everything left in me if I wanted a second chance at life. I began rehabilitation therapy as soon as I came out of the coma and chose the six weeks across the street instead of 'six months recovering at home.' It's obvious now my brain was still injured and out of whack from the severe swelling and bleeding, but I know I made the right decision.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
As I find myself delivering pizzas once again, I am up for the next delivery at work and it is to a very large country music venue hotel. The hotel is so massive that the delivery drivers from work are not allowed to go inside of the hotel to deliver a pizza. If we were to have to go inside of the hotel to make deliveries to customers, it would take probably thirty minutes or longer, waiting at the front desk for the customer to arrive to get their food. When that delivery to the hotel comes up, the delivery drivers just pull up to where the valet parking is and the customer comes outside to meet us.

Being a beginner in art or simply trying to understand art from a professional’s point of view can be intimidating. This intimidation can turn you away from trying new things. When my art professors introduced me to fabric, I stirred away from it for a while. Los Angeles, California, the city of angels, the place where dreams are made of. It's suc a cliché to say that you want to move to California but I do. The question is, what will I do once I get there? Well, I'm 19 years old so if I were indecisive, I technically have plenty of time to decide. Here's the thing, I already know what I primarily want to do in order to make a living. The problem is that there are so many things I want to do in addition to that. It really shouldn't be much of a problem seeing as there's now easy access to the internet and social media, well there shouldn't be much of a problem in theory. I like to think of myself as a modern day renaissance woman, but I have to overcome some barriers based on the current lack of resources I have.

Beginning with Digital Art
Get inspired by what various artists do by watching their techniques and delving into their digital art process on YouTube, but do not, I repeat, do not try to automatically put your level of expertise to theirs. This was a valuable lesson I had to learn when first getting into digital art. I placed my pedestal too high and expected too much from myself. While I’ve worked with watercolors, oil paints, different pastels and pencils, naturally, I assumed that digital painting was the next step to easy. I already knew so many things. That’s not how it goes. Digital art, like the other forms of art work, is its own setting and might be, in fact, one of the hardest things I ever tried.

My Adventures as a Pizza Delivery Driver
As I get to work one afternoon, not long ago, I find myself traveling across town to deliver another pizza to an apartment complex. Before I left the store that day, it looks like the manager on duty would have told me what was going on with this particular order, but did not. I left the store with a zero amount on the customer's receipt. All the way to my destination, I was wondering why I had a zero amount for this order. Sometimes the store gets extremely busy and the delivery drivers can not handle the overload, so I was thinking this was probably the case. It was not.
