Death Penalty: Is it effective?
Since random death sentence trials are morally abusive, it is difficult, if not impossible, to obtain tangible evidence of the restraining effect of the death penalty to convince strong supporters. The penalty for changing your mind. For crimes punishable by death in a foreign country, such as smuggling or smuggling of illegal drugs, economic crime, or politically motivated violence, there is no credible evidence of a deterrent effect. Experts who treat the death penalty with the death penalty, and in some cases drug-related crime worldwide, say that there is not enough evidence to conclude that the death penalty has a detrimental effect. Although the death penalty for crimes against humanity has been mentioned in many religious texts and has been widely used by religious leaders throughout history, today there is no consensus on the death penalty among religious sects or denominations.

2022: A New Mindset. Runner-Up in We Have a Dream Challenge.
Hello. My name is Alexis. I am not one to share much about myself, but I will. I am 23 years old and have two small children. Writing is not only a hobby for me but a passion for me as well. The last several years have been difficult for me in terms of financial stability and toxic relationships but that hasn’t stopped me from pushing myself to do better. Especially for the people surrounding me.

Once a Writer, Always a Writer
My Dad carried this tiny wooden desk into our house and my Mom set it up in the corner of the family room. As soon as its legs hit the floor I gravitated toward it, completely mesmerized. I don’t remember asking for it, but I distinctly remember Mom telling me, “This is your desk.”

Red
This colour is sexy and alluring. It is being rich and mysterious; bold, but not tacky or flashy; sophisticated yet mischievous. It is elegant fangs tearing the flesh of an apple, tearing the flesh of someone’s throat; a tongue lapping up the life that throbs from the carotid artery. Someone is watching you, and they are fascinating and dangerous. Do you indulge or not? It is natural to indulge. It makes your senses prick wildly. It electrifies you, makes you feel alert again. What will come from this?

So You Didn't Make The Cut. Now What? . Top Story - January 2022.
A Community on the Edge Starting about about 7:00am Tuesday morning, and possibly hours before that, the collective platform waited, refreshing the Top Stories so we didn't miss the penultimate moment. It was make-or break. For some, it seems the anticipated post would define our success or failure on the platform. Self-esteem would be boosted or tanked. Hopes would be lifted or dashed. It came a day late, but and it came in like the wrecking ball we all thought it would be: the 1,025 finalists for the Vocal+ Fiction Awards, which accepted over 13,000 submissions between October 12 and December 29, 2021.

The Night Owl Has Returned
In the wee hours of the night, when the darkness cloaks the air with the same lightweight comfort of my favorite robe; when the silence is so tangible that it whispers it's own sweet, sweet song; when the faces of my babies are relaxed in the peaceful radiance only cherubs can maintain: I search for my name.

Voice in the Shadow
Voice in the Shadow Faces, both familial and yet still of strangers, fill the room. Their voices boom with joy and laughter. Each joke and turn of phrase is a bitter pill to swallow. The night has been filled with game and merriment, but my heart still aches under the weight of it all. Once again my head begins to spin. The walls are closing in, and the voices grow to a painful roar. I must escape.
