An Oasis of Calm
Normally I’d be more stressed in a situation such as this. Saturday afternoon, at a grocery wholesale store, and it’s packed. Not the most ideal place for a meditation practice, but meditation can be done anywhere, at anytime, by anyone, and today I’ve brought my oasis with me. I’m going to guide you on how to do the same. Before we dive in though, a tidbit for any beginners out there, and a friendly reminder for those more practiced. You may get distracted, and that’s okay. You’re mind may wander, and that’s okay. You’re emotions may follow your mind in the multitude of directions it goes, and that’s okay. If any of this happens, acknowledge that it happened. Let it go, and return your focus to your breath. Always returning to your breath, and so we begin, with a deep breath in.

You are your music: Listen.
Isn't it funny how we counts steps every day? And how we rush from A without even noticing how we've gotten to B? The journey itself becomes secondary. We check mails on the train, listen to the radio in the car, read on the train... always surrounded by a zillion voices.

Don't Hate Just Meditate
Don’t Hate Just Meditate Be Real and Real With Yourself If you never look inside you can never change the world around you, we live on earth but there are 7 billion worlds because we all view the planet differently. If you aren’t going to be real with yourself, please do not read this book, because I wouldn’t even want you to waste your time reading my book. Why lie for more reads? I’ve always been told to be careful saying things like this, but somewhere down the line you’re going to have to look in that mirror and face who you are, where you have come, and who you have become. I’ll start us with a poem.

Take what you need. Second Place in Mindful Strides Challenge.
Hey, thank you for choosing to take time for a walk today. We're going to stay present in our body and environment in its current state on this mindful walk, tapping into our senses to do so. As we prepare to be present in our body, mind, and spirit, take a moment to be still and notice what is on the surface, or just underneath, at this point in the day for you.

Mindful meditation while walking
Mindful meditation while walking in Chicago Walking meditation is a method of walking that is typically a slow and deliberate pace. Life can better be lived at the same slow and deliberate pace. It is a practice of concentration while walking, focusing on breathing and pacing. Life experienced in a focused pace is defined by goals and achievements that are celebrated. It is different and immediately recognizable from the typical seated meditation because one’s eyes must remain open when walking and there are visual stimulants that impact the minds meditation process offering more interaction with the environment. In life external forces attempt to capture the focused mind to burden them with the deviated path, those external forces must be quelled, squashed and destroyed.
