How I Generate New Ideas
What makes the difference between a fantastic idea and a the greatest idea? Great ideas come along all of the time, and help people solve minor issues in work and everyday life. Terrific ideas appear somewhat less often, and need a bit more work to execute. Frequently they are unexpected moments of inspiration that help keep the napkin businesses in business. Ideas are a dime a dozen, but implementing them, and acting on them is the hardest part. Below I have created a list of things you can do to generate new ideas, whether it be for business or artistic plans, a few of these ideas will help you be able to focus and create terrific, well-polished ideas.

Can an Innocent Insect Teach Us About Life Purpose?
I was a guest at a lakefront party a few weeks ago. Lake St. Clair to be exact, the big body of shallow water that straddles the Great Lakes, Erie and Huron, yet has never been crowned as one of the Great Lakes. Sitting under one of the two large tent structures that sheltered a huge hot tub, beer fridge, and state-of-the-art BBQ among other beach party requisites, I thought the tied-back screen valances that rimmed the structures were evening defence for mosquito invasions. It seemed a little early in the season for those tiny tyrannical bloodsuckers, but I left it at that.

The Lone Goose
I was out on the school track for my early morning walk while visiting my daughter this summer and met up with my usual companions—a large gaggle of Canadian Geese. This tightly organized community generally splits into two groups, one to the outside of the track and one on the inside both busily grazing on the grasses. Artfully dodging goose droppings where they crisscrossed the asphalt surface became part of my exercise routine.

The Case for Making a Change
Three years ago, I started my new career as a teacher. I was to teach middle school social studies; history, geography, economics, etc. Two months into my second year teaching middle school, I was so burnt out and discouraged that I was entertaining the idea of leaving mid-year to do something completely different from teaching. The major cause of this being that I didn’t feel supported by the administration in my teaching, and in navigating behavioral issues.

You: Becoming Bolder
Not every person is born with the natural inclination to share themselves with the world. Some are outgoing, some are introverted, and some are quiet. We feel different levels of comfort in different places, situations, and people. Those unique traits to our personalities make us exactly what we are meant to be: OURSELVES.

The Road to You
Growing Up When we are kids, we are encouraged to have dreams. Dreams of a wonderful career, family, lifestyle, etc. We are told at an early age that we can be anything and do anything we put our hearts and minds to. As young kids we dream of being actors, president of our country, singers, etc. We set our minds and hearts to be successful and live an amazing life.

Lazy Girl Tips for Productivity
1. If you cannot concentrate, try not to beat yourself up, and don’t sit there too long either. Stand up, get a coffee, go for a little walk, put some laundry on, and then come back to whatever you’re trying to focus on with a clearer head.

“Hey, World. Don’t Hurt Me.”
Birth. I don’t think many of us really REALIZE how insane the process of birth is, and I don’t think I’m going to even try to get into it, but the basic idea is this—transition. We go from complete safety within our mother’s womb to the big bad world, within what seems like an instant. How is that fair? Did I ask for this? Shit, I had it so good. I’m not complaining, no no. I’m glad my mom decided to raise me, feed me, occasionally scare the literal HELL out of me. It made me who I am today. I’d like to consider myself a decent person, and I’d like to say I have it mostly figured out. Is that the case though? Not by a long shot. It’s a journey, ya know? We find our way, slowly but surely. Or at least, that’s what I was told…
