Am I Ugly?
When it comes to Facebook, I am typically more voyeur than participant. Staying abreast of local happenings and observing the day to day lives of friends and family while remaining comfortably invisible on the couch in my living room. The comments are a momentary window into the minds of acquaintances and strangers alike; sometimes entertaining and amusing, sometimes prophetic but all too often distressing and hostile.

Let Go and Shave
This is a love story about oneself. This story is intended to uplift and support women on self expression. 2019 was definitely a rollercoaster of a year for a lot of us. I entered last year fresh out of a failed engagement, and yearning to heal the giant hole in my heart. I wanted to fall back in love with myself. So, like all of us, I wanted a change in physical appearance to uplift myself, but to also find a way to gain my power back.

Twilight
I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico from Baltimore, Maryland back in November 2019. I stayed with a few friends in Ojo Caliente for Thanksgiving, and then December to now I’ve been car camping. Some days I am able to get a hotel or hostel room. I have stayed with some friends I have made in town, but for the most part, it’s me, my Jeep and a sleeping bag.

Stop Your Limiting Beliefs!
So, what are limiting beliefs? They are any belief you have that hinders your ability to reach your goals and they are very powerful. Most limiting beliefs stem from our childhood or past experiences we’ve been through. The way we were raised also plays a rule in limiting beliefs & most of them are deeply rooted. This makes them hard to find especially because we believe them to be true and we have lived with them for so long. I look at it as an invisible barrier that literally stops you from achieving what you want in life. Limiting beliefs are NOT true, because each and every single one of us are able to achieve anything we want in life, we just have to BELIEVE we can.

It's Not You; It's Me
I really didn’t want to write about this today, but it was the prompt I pulled randomly out of my box of journal prompts so I challenged myself to tackle this topic. Writing about relationships that are draining seemed like a difficult topic because I am picky about who I allow in my life so I didn't think I had any truly draining relationships, but as I started writing, the relationship I discovered I did and the most draining relationship I found surprised me.

How to Get Rid of Monday Syndrome
As we know that every good thing has an end, we know that every weekend has an end too. When a weekend finishes we wake up to a new week, to new beginnings but we never think it this way. We always complain about Mondays, we share sleepy or hateful posts on social media.

The One Simple Key To Life
Don’t watch the clock. Do what it does. Keep Going. That quote is plastered on posters meant to be inspirational for employees in thousands of workplaces. Typically, that poster is mounted next to the one with the adorable kitten dangling from a rope with a caption that reads, “hang in there.”

Telling Stories
“Storytelling has earned its place as the most important tradition humans possess. The most important reason for this being that every story contains a lesson to instruct the audience. Stories teach us to love, to forgive others, to be just and to strive for better than we have.” – Excerpt from, “The Importance of Story Telling”, by an essay contest winner from Home Schooling Advocates online contest
