snake
From ancient biblical serpents to snakes in the present day, these legless lizards' serpentine reputation precedes them.
Snake Hospital
Leave it to me to find a wounded snake first thing in the morning, before I've even had a single sip of coffee. True to form, there goes bleary-eyed me, rummaging through a pile of discarded buckets and threadbare tarps trying to uncover the other end of a long, thin tail I saw slithering into the farm's plastic recycle heap.

Stories From The Pack
Stories From The Pack Snaky In The Back Yard By Shelley Peterson It was a beautiful summer afternoon and my dogs and I took the opportunity to relax in the shade of a couple trees in our spacious back yard. There was the soft whisper of a breeze gently rustling the leaves of the trees as the birds sang in the distance. I was relaxing in my lounge chair reading a good book and sipping an ice-cold drink enjoying the afternoon. The dogs were scattered all around the yard, stretched out and snoozing. All was tranquil and right in our little world that afternoon. Or so I thought.

An Unconventional Pet Story
When I tell you I'm not a snake person, believe me I'm not. My friend had a pet snake and every time he brought it into the room I was in I would have a panic attack. I would of much rather preferred a "normal" pet like a dog. However, this is the story of how I got my own unconventional pet snake.

"So why snakes?"
I get asked all the time, "So why Snakes?" and the answer to me is quite simple. I was struggling with life (Depression) and realised that I needed something to love (other than my partner at the time), I needed a reason to wake up in the mornings but I also knew that it was far too selfish for me to adopt a cat, dog or a bird that would require my attention and love on a daily basis. It was a difficult situation to be in because I wanted an animal to love but only when I was emotionally capable of giving it.

Loving Cold blood
I never thought in a million years, I would ever own a reptile. I was acclimated to puppies and kitties and even your common farm animals, but I was always a little tiny bit afraid of our scaly friends. After all, it’s natural instinct to be afraid of them.

What It's Like Owning a Pet Snake
"You have a snake?" my friend asked as she gasped and gave me a look of pure horror. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I had gotten this reaction from someone when they find out what I keep in my room as a pet. In fact, before I get my snake my dad told me that I shouldn't post anything about my snake on social media because "people wouldn't understand and they would think I'm weird." Harsh, right? I certainly thought so.

Snake Facts That Will Blow Your Mind!
The incredible world of snakes. Okay, I know, you either love them, or you are simply terrified of them. There is no in between. I used to be absolutely terrified of them, that was until recently, then I very bravely stroked my boyfriend's pet King Cobra. Yep, my heart was pounding, I felt shaky, but I soon realised, there was nothing to be afraid of. I have been truly fascinated by these intelligent reptiles ever since. Snakes are amazing. I have been like a sponge soaking up as much facts on them as possible! Here are the facts which amazed me the most.
