Vocal Brought Me Hope
It all started when my coworker at Vocal, Chelsea, brought in a foster dog to our pet-friendly office. Jake and I had previously decided that we were pushing our dog deadline to Spring of 2022, because Hurricane Ida decided to put my 2012 Corolla out of commission. So, a new car purchase took over our minds and our budgets.

There's WFH and then there's WFH with a needy pup
Arlo Moon is my child. He's a little different in that he has four legs, is furry, can't speak proper English, and has a tail, but he's my son nonetheless. And in case you're wondering, yes, I am a crazy dog lady who spoils Arlo and often prefers his company over that of nearly anyone else. And because I am fully remote, I spend all day, every day, with Arlo (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

I Borrowed my Housemates' Pets this Halloween for a Photoshoot
The only thing better than Halloween and pets is pets dressed for Halloween. Not convinced? Well, there's a good reason why Americans spend an estimated $350 million each year on Halloween costumes for their pets.

My Buddy Le Croissant
Okay, so maybe not exactly a croissant. Instead of a delectable buttery and flaky pastry you enjoy eating, it is a furry little four-legged friend that slightly resembles a fox, and has a big attitude. Speaking of furry, this doggy has so much fur– and randomly in connection to croissants, imagine a croissant shedding another croissant– which would be impressive and yummy honestly, but this breed somehow manages to shed another dog twice a year. Sometimes I think my dog is somewhat more of my boss as with his routine he demands a walk near the same time everyday or he'll voice his displeasure with vocal yawns and whining. The morning walk itself has to be relatively the same amount of distance each time (over a mile long) or he'll show his disappointment with his refusal to move.

To Everybody Else, You Are Only a Dog
To my dearest Riley, To everybody else, you are only a dog, a miniscule fact of life, a being that holds little value when compared to that of a person. It is to this fact that I disagree whole-heartedly. I want to tell you your worth, before I lose my chance, before you are but a memory in my heart.

A Feral Friendship. Third Place in EmPAWyee of the Month Challenge.
Years ago, if anyone was to tell me I’d grow up to be a crazy cat lady, I would have laughed in their face. My family is a dog family. Plain and simple. Sure, as a kid I would always go out of my way to capture neighborhood strays and try to convince my Dad to let me keep them, but the answer was always a firm “no.”

Mr Boof - Chief Happiness Officer at Kerst Estates
I was only a few weeks pregnant with my first child when the world came to a grinding halt. A novel coronavirus from China was ravaging the world and we all bunkered in place to wait and watch to see what would happen.
