Burning Thoughts
At night, something’s burning in my head,
My thoughts disturbed, a burning dread.
Juggled, I can’t sleep at night,
It’s like a trouble, a bright burning light.
The match flames flicker, sharp and bold,
A firestorm inside, restless, uncontrolled.
I think of all that’s left unsaid,
The burning thoughts that cloud my head.
They’re tangled deep, they twist and wind,
A restless fire, consuming my mind.
The harder I try, the more they stay,
A restless storm that won’t fade away.

Intense imagery of inner conflict and restless thoughts.
Thanks for putting this out there! It’s truly amazing and beautifully captures that restless feeling. Great job!
Good job and you must have a lot to think about and you are one prolific writer/poet.
