Girl You Make Me See Red

I love you, hate you, want you, can’t you see this ?

Girl You Make Me See Red

You make me see red,

not the soft blush of roses

or the glow of a dying fire.

Like the raw, sharp heat

that flares behind my eyes,

the kind that twists words

into weapons.

before I can swallow them.

Your voice strikes like a spark,

lighting something wild inside me,

Out comes anger first,

hot and unforgiving,

until it burns itself out

and leaves only silence.

I should leave you.

I tell myself that,

when the storm is at its worst.

Red is also the flame you ignite

when we’re tangled in the aftermath,

all heat and hunger,

fighting with lips

instead of words.

You are the fire,

both the rage and the passion,

and I stand in the blaze,

too lost in the heat

to ever walk away.

You are Mine, I am yours Forever girl.
