Homegrown Warmth

The Fruit of the Harvest

By Dana CrandellPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Homemade, homegrown tomato soup and grilled cheese on sourdough bread

Swirls of steam perform a brilliant ballet for my eyes,

Carrying the aromas of sweet tomato and garlic.

Perfectly grilled sourdough crunches crisply

As my teeth sink through to meet soft, melted cheddar.

The flavor of the year's harvest bursts forth with each spoonful.
