Pieces of memory,
Blurry and incoherent,
They were scenes,
Scenes from a movie I watched long ago,
Some from the beginning,
Some from the end,
But none from the middle,
There was nothing to connect the scenes,
Names of the characters escaped me,
Including how they got from scene to scene,
All I remember,
Was that the villain could become a dragon,
A fleeing girl in a forest found a snake,
A little girl killed the villain with lightning powers,
And a humanoid creature turned into a prince.
Not recalling the name of the movie,
I asked my mom,
But she had no idea what I was talking about.
However,
One day,
When almost all hope was lost,
I asked my sister,
And to my delight,
She recollected the movie as soon as I mentioned the snake.
Snow White: Happily Ever After was the name,
Which was surprising,
Because it looked nothing like a Snow White tale,
And when my sister found it,
I realized that the little girl was a dwarfelle,
A cousin of the seven dwarfs,
The villain was the evil queen's brother,
Out to avenge his sister,
And Mother Nature was in it,
As well as a bat and owl comedy duo.
It was not a good movie,
But I still kinda loved it,
It is my guilty pleasure,
If just for the fact,
That the nostalgic pieces of my past,
Were finally pieced together,
Into a whole memory.

Ever since discovering Roald Dahl, I wanted to be an author who would delight and move her readers through her stories. I also wrote my debut novel, "Of Demons and Deception" on Amazon.
