Resist the Arresting Flavor of Lemons
Surveillance state and the art of cake
I believe in the power
of lemon juice and
powdered sugar
a healthy drizzle
draws the eye
even law enforcement
cannot deny
caught in the beam of
pound cake divine
π¨π°π¨
mouth watering
mission faltering
proximity strengthens desire
for mama's lemon pound cake
π¨π°π¨
beads of sweat
skin eject
wicked away by
blue cotton-poly-blend
π¨π°π¨
corpulence maintained
when stomach bullies brain
on the witch hunt campaign
there's only weight
and exposure to gain
now the whole world knows
pigs are hungry for cake

This is brilliant, funny, sharp, and a little wild. I love how it turns something as simple as cake into a clever look at desire, power, and control.
Oh that's such a happy news! But I wanna eat that cake now, lol. Loved your poem!
