You Paint In Lies

I only use what I know is true

You Paint In Lies

You paint in colours born of lies,

I paint the same one in black and white.

Yours shimmer with a false sunrise,

Mine cuts sharp through endless night.

You blend the edges, soft and bright,

A canvas warm, a world untrue.

I leave the lines raw, clear in sight,

No room for what isn’t true.

You dance in shadows, fading fast,

I stand unmoved, the truth in view.

Your whispers fade, a fading cast,

I speak in silence, always true.

Where your illusions softly bleed,

I paint in strokes that stand and stay.

In honesty, my hands will lead,

The path untouched by false display.

Love the symbolism in this poem. The use of a paintbrush and painting, really created a deep tone to the poem. Nicely done. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a great painting with words. I saw the colors and brushstrokes. Good job.
