Justice is Color Blind
You know, I sit back emotionally drained as I watch the tolerance level for injustice, racism, police brutality and hate rise to an astounding level. The images of Black men and women laying in pools of blood in situations where you would expect them to live through situations like selling CDs or being a legal gun owner who informs an officer that you are a legal gun owner, or even walking home with a bag of skittles.

Dear Theresa: What A Difference A Year Makes
Prime Minister May, Well now. It’s been one thing after another, eh? You started with such high hopes and great expectations a year ago. After David Cameron’s uncommonly swift exit from 10 Downing Street a year ago, you took charge of the government making history from day one, as the second woman in history to serve as prime minister and leader of the Conservative (or Tory) Party—no less than Margaret Thatcher was the first. You, therefore, stepped into huge shoes to be filled.

Searching for Political Viagra
The definition of dysfunction is the state of being unable to perform in a normal way. The Republican-led Senate fits that definition, as it is unable to pass health care reform despite having the majority. This, despite the beating of their collective chest following Trump’s election that gave the Republicans the trifecta of owning the White House, Senate, and the House, which every party supporter believed would be the elixir to their flagging legislative accomplishments as much as Viagra is to erectile dysfunction.

Quit Blaming Immigrants
Immigrants are people moving from one country to another. Usually because they believe in the new country more. They think it will offer them better opportunities. I've never heard of an immigrant moving to a place where they think they will never be accepted.

The Battle for Freedom of Religion
The battle over religious rights is escalating to new heights. It seems everywhere we look, some Atheist group is trying to force a Christian organization to stop an assembly outside of the church or to take down a symbol that shows and speaks of their faith. However, this is a strike at Freedom of Religion.

Racial Prejudice in America. Top Story - July 2017.
Racial prejudice is defined as an irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion that typically arises from race-based stereotypes (Nittle). The media has played a major role in distorting the images of many races with stereotypes that have made society come to believe they are all true and apply to everyone in the race. Vincent Parrillo’s “Causes of Prejudice” indicates that prejudice is not from a single cause but from psychology and sociology. He explains that people become hostile towards others when they feel their security is being threatened (Colombo). This essay will present a few images from the media that demonstrate the pervasiveness of inequality. These images prove that America is far from having equality among all races. Self-justification involves denigrating a person or a group to justify maltreatment of them.

A Minimum Waged War
Millennials seem to have a lot to complain about these days, right? Damned snowflakes. You know, with their wanting everyone to be treated with humanity (gag). Always busy both not spending enough money at chain restaurants and spending too much money at them. Yea, millinials are a pain in the ass. But while we're on the subject of money; let's talk about this dumb ass wage increase everybody has their panties in a bunch over.

Snake Charmers
As we all know, last November, Donald J Trump was elected to be the 45th President of the United States in one of the biggest upsets in the history of American politics. Many of us were shocked. We were shocked that a man, who during his presidential campaign, made fun of a crippled man; called for a ban on all Muslims entering the country; threatened to have his opponent put in prison; put himself at odds with the American news media outlets; and just showed a general disregard for civility and propriety throughout the entire campaign on numerous occasions could ever be elected to the highest office in the country. We were shocked, but we shouldn’t have been, because this didn’t just happen out of nowhere, no, this was decades in the making.

How To Be an Activist
Since a lot of us say one thing but act on another. Here's how to make a difference: Step One: Identify your beliefs. Do you support the idea of killing innocent people? Leaving the people who fought for your freedoms on the street to die? Do you support ignorance or education? Tax cuts for the people who need them or the people that don't? Or do you support what you're told to/what everyone around you supports without thinking for yourself? (Sheep and lemmings do not actually have legal voting rights in the US, that right is reserved for humans)

Dear Theresa... The 7 Demands of the UK People
Your awkward Montgomery Burns-like hunch suggests a lifetime of sadness which has left you looking down into the abyss of dark ethical choices. Your voting record in the UK parliament contradicts the person that you claim to be. If we travel back fifteen years then you’re voting against human equality, yet now you claim to be a reliable bastion of ethical and moral conviction. Where was that conviction the day after Grenfell? Mothers burnt to death with their children in arms and your moral authority falls away when you cannot look the survivors in the eye, or even show them support. Instead, whilst you are a leader, the community had to help support each other in a beautiful display of anarchic love. Where was their leader? She was sneaking out the backdoor in an effort to avoid the existence of these poor people once again.

Independence Day
July 4th, 1776...the day the "Thirteen Colonies" became these United States of America. I can see it now; our red-white-and-blue flag flapping in the young, gunpowder-filled, Pennsylvanian air. Fireworks exploding in the great black sky above the liberated colonists, gathered together in brotherhood and patriotism. Men—northerners and southerners alike—are blasting their rifles and six-shooters to the stars in jubilation. Women—proper and improper—are kissing men in the streets in celebration. Young boys are smiling from ear to ear and young girls are giggling and laughing uncontrollably. Words like “freedom” and “independence” and “liberty” collapse, like a waterfall, from the lips of the youngest of babies to the most wrinkled of the elderly.
