There’s nothing worse than your trust being betrayed by someone you thought would always hold it. Well, maybe there is. But that’s got to be the worst experiences of my life. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to let it go, but now’s as good as time as any to start. The first step in moving on has got to be sharing it, right?

10 Comedy Specials by Women to Watch on Netflix This Weekend
If you're a human being with internet access, which I think I can safely assume you are if you're reading this, you're probably familiar with the Louis CK affair. You are probably also aware that a certain cross section of male comedy fans are concerned about the future of comedy if he is held responsible for his actions and ostracized from the comedy community. Well buckle up, bros, because I've got news: Louis CK is not the only comedian on earth. And *gasp* many of the good ones are women. Supporting women in the male-dominated world of comedy is incredibly important right now and with Netflix's comedy specials, it's easy to discover hilarious women of a variety of ages, backgrounds, and comedic styles.

The Worst Night of My Life
I have been seeing this hashtag all over the place lately, for good reason. It is wonderful that so many are stepping forward to bring to light situations that have happened to them. To be honest, I never planned on telling my story. I saw all these other people talking about what happened to them and I thought to myself, “There are already enough people talking. I don’t need to.” That felt like an excuse, though. Now I do not think anyone needs to share their story; if you aren’t comfortable with it then do not feel as if you are required because you aren’t. For myself, though, if the only reason I had to not share was just that I thought enough people had, then that didn’t feel like a good enough reason.

What is Beauty?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; beauty is on the inside, not the outside. Young children grow up hearing these phrases of encouragement throughout their lives. As one grows and matures into adulthood their idea and envisionment of beauty changes. The painting of the ugly duchess is an "ugly" painting by the shallowest definition of beauty. However, some correctly believe, that influences from one's culture and background have to do with the way that one perceives beauty.

NOTE: Only initials will be given for the sake of the victimsS.B.: She was about 6. She use to play with her cousins like any normal child who grew up around close relatives. She told me that one day her uncle entered the room and told her cousins to leave. She, being a little girl, thought nothing of it because he was family. You should be able to trust family, right? She couldn't. After he approached and sat behind this ball of radiant energy, he proceeded to just slip his finger in his private area. Something so abrupt happened to this little girl, and I don't think she knew how to react. How do you react to that as a little girl? He proceeded to rub her chest, making the situation worse. He even tried to take it a step further by pulling down his pants in the hopes of getting some action. She was saved by an older cousin who happened to walk in. That cousin didn't realize what was going on or what she had done, but my heart dropped knowing what could've happened if she hadn't done that.
