Cold Coffee Morning
Jessica sat immobile in her reading chair, coffee slowly cooling on the side table nestled between the chair and the wall. It was so quiet in the early morning darkness she could have heard the echoes of the train making the street crossing miles away, and the soft 'tick-tick' of the furnace coming to life.

Time Keeps on Slipping...
"Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans", is a quote often attributed to John Lennon. I've been known to say that I'm 'making good time but not getting anywhere'. My grandmother used to call it 'spinning your wheels'. It all means the same thing. The things we do can get in the way of the things we want.

The idea that knowing the name of a thing or a person gives power is ancient and crosses many cultures, religions, and beliefs. bestowing a name grants honor and even power to the name-r over the name-d.
