Simpsons Review: "Bart vs Thanksgiving". Top Story - November 2024.
Thanksgiving is upon us, and of course, that also means we receive some very good and memorable Turkey Day episodes of our favorite shows. There have been quite a few memorable Thanksgiving episodes over the decade; I still remember seeing one of Friends' Thanksgiving episodes that had the sextet playing football, while Joey and Chandler were fighting over a girl; that was a crazy one. Martin had quite a memorable Thanksgiving episode that featured the late, great John Witherspoon as one of Martin's relatives. There have been several different Thanksgiving episodes, but the best one had to be the first one from The Simpsons: "Bart vs Thanksgiving."

Disney's Pocahontas: A Problematic Portrayal. Content Warning.
Content Warning: Discussions of racism, cultrual appropriation and genocide against indigenous people. As a child, I was a big fan of Disney's animated films. My sister and I eagerly expected each new release, and our parents would always take us to the theater to see them. We also owned the VHS tapes and would watch them repeatedly. One of our favorites was Pocahontas, the first Disney film to feature an Indigenous princess as the main character. I loved the movie, the toys, and the soundtrack.

The Imperative for Diversity in AI Decision-Making
In the fast-paced world of artificial intelligence (AI), diversity is not just desirable — it’s critical, especially at the highest levels of decision-making. AI technology influences every aspect of modern life, from economic systems to personal privacy. However, a lack of diversity among AI decision-makers risks creating technologies that reinforce biases, overlook the needs of marginalized communities, and uphold the status quo of inequity.

Villainess Review: Nicola Caruso (Matlock)
When I heard about the Matlock reboot many months ago, I was all in from the get-go. For the life of me, I don't know why people diss reboots. "Hollywood can't think of any original ideas," they always say. I have news for you: nothing in TV and movies is an original idea. Everything comes from something else, or somebody else. Here's how I see reboots. I think today's generation watched the older generation's shows and movies, liked it, and then curiosity set in. "What would it look like now, with a different cast?" That's how the reboots came in.
