So if you’re a Millenial, I am sure you are familiar with Tinder. Heck even Gen X is on board! So are there happiness and love stories that come from Tinder like you see on Match.com commercials? Well, from personal experience and those that I know, Tinder seems to be a hooking up app, very similar to POF (Plenty of Fish). Swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, ooooo swipe right, swipe left, swipe left, ooooo swipe right, IT’S A MATCH!!! That oh-so amazing feeling when you have matched with a hot guy, and he thinks you’re hot too! So do you message him first? Or do you wait for him to message you? If you wait too long, will he think you aren’t interested and “Unmatch” you? Oh, the struggles and emotions that we women come across and feel when simply swiping on our phones!

A Date to End All Dates
I went on a date, a few years ago, that can only be described as nightmarish. This experience was something so traumatic for me, that it will be forever burned in my memory. I don't date much. It's something that's always been awkward for me — I'm never sure how I'm supposed to act, what I'm supposed to wear, etc., and causes some very intense anxiety. I've been told that this is normal, but I personally don't find an evening on the edge of a panic attack particularly appealing, so it makes no sense that I would be a willing participant in a blind date. To my dismay, somehow that's where I found myself. A co-worker insisted that her friend was perfect for me, she was relentless. Eventually, I caved and allowed her to give him my number.

Everybody has an opinion on what they think is the wrong or right thing to do when it comes to an ex, whether it is your friends telling you that if you go back to him or her that they will disown you, or your disapproving parents thinking that you just cannot make your mind up as to what you want to do — there is just no way that you can please everyone. So there I was on the good ole Meetme site. You know that one where you can just slap any random picture down as your profile pic and start searching for your perfect match while trying to sidestep those nasty messages you disgust so much. Well that was me. I created an account and put some crappy pictures of me on there. Might as well right? If the person I meet is my “perfect match” they are going to see my good, bad, and ugly side. So why not just show them who I am right then and there? Sure people will look at the photos and think negatively about them. But if they like the photos then they will like the real me so there's nothing to worry about. At least that's what I thought.
