Into the Arms of Neptune

A Sensational End

The cacophonous calls of the gathering gulls

Herald the sentinels' rise from the deep

The frigid spray somehow beckons and pulls

Me forward as strange scents lull me to sleep.

Death comes, swift and saline.

Mysterious and mesmerizing! This one is really excellent, Dana! I too liked the alliterative “swift and saline”

Take a round of applause and plaundits and praise from me sir! This is surprisingly a heavy hit in the stomach as you lead us to that not so happy ending! Just...perfection!

  • Another fabulous entry, Dana

What a terrific final line. This one flowed as smooth as sliding into death itself.
